    • Five fruit and veg a day: Celeriac, prune juice, sultanas, ... er, that's it. Three's more than half way. Not bad.
    • Lights out by 11.30pm Just. 'Just' is all you're aiming for
    • Make 100 sales cold calls by 31.1.17. 5 hours 20 minutes, not that it's boring or anything .... That's practically a full working day. And boring is actually pretty good - I remember last year you found cold calling quite uncomfortable and difficult.
    • One random act of kindness or public service a day Litter picking.
    • Record something lovely that happens every day so that at the end of the year when I empty the jar I'll remember all the good things that happened Er, I'll deal with the notebook today ....
    • After 7th January cut out sugar until 1st February. Went a bit mad after doing everything I could think off to stave off the cravings mid-afternoon. The good news is that the triple chocolate cookies won't be tempting me again. Excellent, very wise move to 'tidy away' the temptation.

As HappyNow says I am lurking, I just haven't had much time to post, not very supportive I know. However, I just had to pop in about your fitbit HappyNow. Have you checked to see if it is still in warranty? It's 2 years in the UK I believe. Fitbit customer services is amazing
    Hello :):):)
Thanks for the tip. The problem is, I bought it 2nd hand from a friend and don't have a receipt. But it's an Alta and I don't think that model is 2 years old so maybe it's worth a try. It won't charge, but the charger works on my friend's Alta so it must be the fitbit itself. I will give them a ring tomorrow - thanks for the tip :)

Bit wild and windy up here today, and now we're expecting snow overnight. I took a trip to Tesco and spent £65 on supplies, so if we're snowed in it won't matter - in fact it will be quite nice!

Money/YNAB £65 Tesco, £32 petrol. No waste, and YNAB balances. Go me!
Healthy eating Rocket, olives, veggie casserole x 2, orange juice. Sweet treat was jelly babies - a full 190 gram bag of them!!! And a slice of chocolate cake. Oops......
One small glass of red wine.

Admin catch-up Nothing whatsoever. Must do some tomorrow.
Contact with parents. My mum has rung me three times today so that's a definite YES! Mr H's mum is no different :(

    Hi all!
I really need to learn how to do this quoting malarkey properly... never seems to work! Honey.. the best way is to get rid of all the 'bad' food which is exactly what you did so well done.

Hellooo Dolphin!!! Nice to hear from you, hope things calm down for you soon!

    1. Wash make up off every night... I am terrible at the moment leaving it on Saw the weather forecast and decided cycling was a no no so ended up just using a cheap make up wipe.. better than nothing? Then last night was a fail…
    2. Start cycling to work again ~Safety first.. see above and today is driving lesson day so OH gave me a lift in
    3. Log calories again (best way I find of keeping me on track. Will start over today
    4. Exercise 3 days a week done no other exercise as been in meeting over lunch.
    5. Stick to my new budget Not too bad only extra will be OH going to buy another xbox controller so the the boy staying at my mums can come play with him.
    6. Work on learning Afrikaans at least once a week not yet... ooops
    7. Do more fun things and stop obsessing about friendships gone wrong The church things is a bit random. Basically churches I the area take it in turns to host for a week. It is for destitute asylum seekers so they get dinner and there are games and stuff and a safe dry place to sleep. I volunteered to stay over on the sat night as it is my mums church.

You mean it was a birthday present and therefore of course you wouldn't have the receipt ;).

To make it really worth your while though you'd have to be completely snowed in, right up to your arris, so to speak, so you couldn't possibly get out, not even in a four wheel drive thingy.

Money/YNAB £65 Tesco, £32 petrol. No waste, and YNAB balances. Go me! Yay!

    1. Wash make up off every night... I am terrible at the moment leaving it on Saw the weather forecast and decided cycling was a no no so ended up just using a cheap make up wipe.. better than nothing? Then last night was a fail… I keep a stash of stuff within reachable distance of the loo, so I can do some things when perched. That might make a difference.
    2. Start cycling to work again ~Safety first.. see above and today is driving lesson day so OH gave me a lift in Far too grim to be cycling at the moment.

    5. Stick to my new budget Not too bad only extra will be OH going to buy another xbox controller so the the boy staying at my mums can come play with him. I think we can put that down to a good deed for the day.
    6. Work on learning Afrikaans at least once a week not yet... ooops

While you're busy you're not obsessing, so that's a good thing all round.
    Better is good enough.

    • Five fruit and veg a day: Sultanas, spinach, brocolli, tangerines, onions.
    • Lights out by 11.30pm Oops.
    • Make 100 sales cold calls by 31.1.17. About nine hours today after nothing yesterday. I haven't actuallly started on the phone calls yet. That should be next week and I'm planning on getting them all over and done with over that week.
    • One random act of kindness or public service a day More litter-picking.
    • Record something lovely that happens every day so that at the end of the year when I empty the jar I'll remember all the good things that happened Well the jar and a lined notebook made it downstairs and I put something in for today but I haven't actually done the transfer from one system to the other yet.
    • After 7th January cut out sugar until 1st February. Another bit of the chocolate stash has been decluttered. This isn't working at all well this month. Too many Christmas leftovers, basically. I suppose the good news is that I'm limiting myself to one chocolate hit a day.
    Better is good enough.

Ooh Dolphin, silly me! Of COURSE I don't have receipts for birthday presents ;). How could I? I haven't rung them yet, it's on my 'to do' pile, but I will.
Out of time tonight because I got hardly any sleep last night and I've to be up at stupid-time so this is just a quick update.
    • Money Payday tomorrow so signature and YNAB updated. I've made minimum payments only on the credit cards again which will not do at all. But I've got to pay the insurance on the rental house which will be about £130, plus our outdoor electrics (which controls not only lights but our water supply pump!!) keep tripping out. Mr H has tried everything he can to get it working again but he can't, so we have a proper electrician coming on Sunday. Bum. I'm going to cut back on everything else to try and make an extra CC payment later in the month.
    • Healthy eating Ummm.....
    • Alcohol Just one glass of wine, but it was quite big!
    • Daily admin Made a start with rental insurance prices but haven't researched the companies yet.
    • Admin catch up Nope
    • Contact with parents Yes
    • Keep house nice Nope

You have to pay the bills that keep you functioning and you can't do that without water. And buildings insurance is a must. I hope you manage a bit extra later in the month but at least you get a rates holiday in Feb and March, so you can take up some of the cc slack then. I see from your updated figures that your unsecured debt has gone down below £20K - huge, huge congratulations! Worthy of rah rahs, in fact. desismileys_2722.gifcheerleader.gifsmileys-cheerleading-755332.gifdesismileys_2722.gifcheerleader.gifsmileys-cheerleading-755332.gif

    • Daily admin Made a start with rental insurance prices but haven't researched the companies yet. That would be a priority if you're due a renewal.
    • Admin catch up Nope If you lost a night's sleep you're running on empty, so I'd stop worrying about targetty thing for a day or three.
    • Contact with parents Yes
    • Keep house nice Nope And ditto regarding lost sleep.
Fingers crossed for no snow in Happy Land.

    • Lights out by 11.30pm Tick.
    • Make 100 sales cold calls by 31.1.17. Finalising lists today, and after a F'book contact yesterday I might start the emailling where I have an address. Saves on phone calls - hurrah!
