    Morning All!
    • Five fruit and veg a day: Kale, red cabbage, prune juice, blueberries, sultanas
    • Lights out by 11.30pm Just.
    • Make 100 sales cold calls by 31.1.17 In the end I managed 2.25 hours, so I'll catch up on that a bit today.
    • One random act of kindness or public service a day Nothing again, but I'll pick up some rubbish because the less there is, the less people drop.
    • Record something lovely that happens every day so that at the end of the year when I empty the jar I'll remember all the good things that happened Er, I'll deal with the notebook today ....
    • After 7th January cut out sugar until 1st February. Forgot there was sugar in leftover meringue .... I did, I really did forget the other morning over the pavlova, but there's no excuse any more. I had a total catastrophe making the pav, so we've got a spare base that tastes fine but wasn't good enough to serve and I could throw it away but that would be a sin. And OH likes having pudding, so it's there, and I've got fruit in the freezer that could go with it, too.
    Better is good enough.

    oooo yes missing Dolphin!!

Now I am craving Cadbury cream eggs!!

    1. Wash make up off every night... I am terrible at the moment leaving it on Done! When I am cycling I have a shower at night to wash my hair and jump in the shower at work in morning so make up has been off!
    2. Start cycling to work again Done
    3. Log calories again (best way I find of keeping me on track. Back on it as off yesterday (weekend fit bit came off and no logging must be more consistent
    4. Exercise 3 days a week had coffee with a friend yesterday and not done any extra stuff so no yoga or weights so far... cycling will have to count for now although I did get off on the big hill home!
    5. Stick to my new budget been a bit over with sis staying but been making nice meals and eating the meat out of freezer even if had to grab extra bits. She has given me some money which should cover the extras. Will struggle with her and OH birthdays before pay day on top of driving lessons but shouldn't be crazy over. Not had any other extra spends as friend paid for coffee yesterday. No other money spends this week randomly sleeping in a church on Saturday night as volunteer and going for breakfast with a friend after but she will drive and knows somewhere good and cheap!
    6. Work on learning Afrikaans at least once a week not yet... ooops
    7. Do more fun things and stop obsessing about friendships gone wrong well have my breakfast on sunday with a friend totally out of the situation that will be lovely and someone I would really like to spend more time with. Felt a big relief after talking to you all about it and then with all the drama at home and potentially fostering situation its really put it into perspective.

Also in big news by this point OH would have run out of money (our money is 21st - 21st) but he hasn't!!!!!!!! and no Takeaways just fakeaways!

    Well done everyone.
JVR - I'm a big fan of Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish - very typical birthday gift from lovely MIL - but sometimes find it too much effort. SIL, beauty therapist, advised me to try micellar wipes on those nights as they're quick and will dissolve the make up. She's not a fan of using them all the time, but for those nights (we all have them) she does recommend them. I thing Sooperdroog have them on 3for2 at the moment.

They're my favourite easter treat. Got to be eaten in exactly the right way of course ........

    2. Start cycling to work again Done Yay!
    3. Log calories again (best way I find of keeping me on track. Back on it as off yesterday (weekend fit bit came off and no logging must be more consistent . My fitbit has broken. If it's not repairable I will have to replace it because it's such a motivator.

I didn't know you're looking at fostering - is it on your diary? If so I will have a look

Also in big news by this point OH would have run out of money (our money is 21st - 21st) but he hasn't!!!!!!!! and no Takeaways just fakeaways! Wow, that's progress! Good for him - and good for you for motivating him :)[/QUOTE]

A couple of months ago Boots gave away a free full size bottle of their micellar water via O2 Priority Moments so I picked it up. It just looks, feels and smells like normal tap water but it was BRILLIANT - it got so much carp off my face.

Done a bit better today :)
    • Money/YNAB Been at home all day so no spends. Will have to stock up the cupboards a bit tomorrow because we're apparently expecting snow. I hate snow. YNAB done.
    • Healthy eating Made another veggie and lentil casserole because the last one was so nice. Had it for two meals so bound to be at least four portions in that lot. Also a glass of orange juice. The sweet treat was a packet of Unicorn Poo that Little Miss H gave me for Christmas. It's more 'treaty' than it sounds - it's chocolate covered raisins not real poo. Not sure if it should be green or red. Small glass of wine just to finish the bottle off.
    • Daily admin I haven't even checked our post today. We live down a farm track so have a locked postbox at the top, quarter of a mile away. Just couldn't be bothered walking up to check today, far too cold and windy.
    • Admin catch up Progress! Chased up one of the final payments still due to our neighbours estate so we can finalise that, and also rang the pension company that Mr H has a tiny pension in from his last employer. We'd intended transferring it into his main pension, but they won't accept transfers under £500 so it will just have to sit there. Ah well, it's safe enough and at least I can cross it off my ToDo list.
    • Contact with parents. Yep, rang my mum who is getting a bit twitchy about the move now because it's taking so long. Think I talked her down. No change to Mr H's mum.
    • Keep house tidy Bit of light tidying, nothing too dramatic or impressive.

    1. Wash make up off every night... I am terrible at the moment leaving it on Done! When I am cycling I have a shower at night to wash my hair and jump in the shower at work in morning so make up has been off! It's interesting that one good habit (cycling to work) has an automatic knock on benefit (removing make up).
    2. Start cycling to work again Done Well done because it's unpleasant in winter.
    3. Log calories again (best way I find of keeping me on track. Back on it as off yesterday (weekend fit bit came off and no logging must be more consistent But helpful to know where the weak spots in our intentions are.
    4. Exercise 3 days a week had coffee with a friend yesterday and not done any extra stuff so no yoga or weights so far... cycling will have to count for now although I did get off on the big hill home! So now you have a measure of your fitness - when you don't have to get off for the whole hill. A useful thing to know, I'd have thought.
    5. Stick to my new budget been a bit over with sis staying but been making nice meals and eating the meat out of freezer even if had to grab extra bits. Not had any other extra spends as friend paid for coffee yesterday. No other money spends this week randomly sleeping in a church on Saturday night as volunteer and going for breakfast with a friend after but she will drive and knows somewhere good and cheap! Is your family, including your OH, realistic about what you can each afford to spend for birthdays? And would they accept something small on the day, with the IOU promise in a card of a day out / special experience that you can have organised for another day?
    6. Work on learning Afrikaans at least once a week not yet... ooops Yeah, well, it's a month's target this, and right now you sound just a tad busy with puncture repairs, sister staying and kipping in church.
Good. Sometimes all we need is that new perspective and we can let go of old stuff that's holding us back.

Also in big news by this point OH would have run out of money (our money is 21st - 21st) but he hasn't!!!!!!!! and no Takeaways just fakeaways! And that's a huge change, achieved in a matter of days. I'm really, really pleased for you. Pat yourself on the back!

    • Daily admin I haven't even checked our post today. We live down a farm track so have a locked postbox at the top, quarter of a mile away. Just couldn't be bothered walking up to check today, far too cold and windy. Good call in the circumstances, especially as you can't rack the walk on the fitbit.

Nibbling away at it is defo the way to get through a mountainous backlog - voice of experience, sadly.

    • Keep house tidy Bit of light tidying, nothing too dramatic or impressive. Tidying's good. There's a room here that could do with 'a bit of light tidying.'

    It's all progress.

    :hello: HappyNow et al!

As HappyNow says I am lurking, I just haven't had much time to post, not very supportive I know. However, I just had to pop in about your fitbit HappyNow. Have you checked to see if it is still in warranty? It's 2 years in the UK I believe. Fitbit customer services is amazing. The strap on my first fitbit was coming away so they replaced it with the same model and when the same thing happened with the replacement, they replaced that with a completely different model. Also, OH had a different problem with his fitbit and they replaced that too. It's definitely worth trying.

I'll pop back and track down the rah rahs tomorrow if I get chance.
