- Make 100 sales cold calls by 31.1.17. Finalising lists today, and after a F'book contact yesterday I might start the emailling where I have an address. Saves on phone calls - hurrah! And emails are so much comfier to do than phone calls. Well I think so, maybe I'm wrong.
- One random act of kindness or public service a day Nothing more. You noticed that I'd got the unsecured debt below £20K. I hadn't spotted that myself and it really cheered me up, so have a TICK
- Record something lovely that happens every day so that at the end of the year when I empty the jar I'll remember all the good things that happened Will do this today, although I seem to have been saying that for days.
- After 7th January cut out sugar until 1st February. A whole bar of chocolate, at least it was only 100g. Barely worth mentioning really.
I think I took you a bit too literally when you said I shouldn't worry about targetty things. I will post the highlights.
- Money. Couldn't get out, so zero spends and I even saved my petrol to work. Go me.
- Healthy eating Poor effort. I'll spare you the details (think pizza, chips and chocolate. With wine)
- Daily Admin Not checked post, no emails that needed attention.
- Admin catch-up Rental house insurance bought and paid for. A bit dearer than expected at £148, but if Topcashback comes good there'll be £36 coming back. And I did a bit of filing too.
- Contact with parents. Rang them this afternoon and all is well. Still no change with Mr H's mum, but she is comfy and well looked after.
- Keep house tidy. Nah, couldn't see the point. We're snowed in, there'll be no surprise visitors.

Hi Happy Now
don't forget to see if you can get the rental insurance cheaper maybe? though I know they tend to have got you by the short and curlies with this, but I did find i think moneysupermarket had a landlords insurance section last year.

Well those fingers need some practice! We have LOTS of snow, with matching ice and high winds. I didn't even attempt to get to work today - I just parked up on the sofa and worked from home. It is so, so cold tonight. I dog-walked wearing almost every item of clothing I own, including a balaclava. Good job we don't have neighbours. Whoops, sorry. I'll glue them in place this time.
I think I took you a bit too literally when you said I shouldn't worry about targetty things. I will post the highlights. Love it!
- Money. Couldn't get out, so zero spends and I even saved my petrol to work. Go me. And if you didn't spend any unnesessarily online either which I think I might sometimes do - Tick

- Contact with parents. Rang them this afternoon and all is well. Still no change with Mr H's mum, but she is comfy and well looked after. I hope your parents' move preparations are going well. I'm assuming we have the NHS to thank for Mrs H's care. Good on them.
- Keep house tidy. Nah, couldn't see the point. We're snowed in, there'll be no surprise visitors. So you're concentrating on the bits that show, ie chucking out the chocolate wrapper and pizza boxes, aren't you. That qualifies.
I hope the snow melts very soon, no pipes burst and you don't go stir-crazy in the meantime.- Five fruit and veg a day: Sultanas, grapefruit juice, brocolli, peas er ....
- Lights out by 11.30pm Not a tick. It was Friday and OH likes staying up late and I'm too lazy to get up off my arris after watching a film with him. Must do better.
- Make 100 sales cold calls by 31.1.17. Oh I so love emailing and messaging instead of phone calls. So, I'm resetting the target as contacting 100 new-to-me businesses, rather than phoning.
- One random act of kindness or public service a day Ta muchly, but still nothing more. I'll do another carrier bag of picking up rubbish and that should clear the immediate area which I've noticed hasn't been attracting as much rubbish since it started to look better.
- Record something lovely that happens every day so that at the end of the year when I empty the jar I'll remember all the good things that happened Did it this morning which led to me thinking of something yesterday.
- After 7th January cut out sugar until 1st February. A whole bar of chocolate, at least it was only 100g and a BIG handful of jellybabies. Ooops. Really struggling with this.

I did run it through a comparison site and found some cheaper than I bought, but their reviews weren't as good. And if Topcashback pays out then it will actually work out cheaper, so fingers crossed for that. Insurance is so complicated.......LBM Dec 2011. And here is my daily list of excuses
- Money Spent £23 at Tesco, which sounds OK, but it included a 100g bar of Galaxy, three Cadbury Crème Eggs, a bottle of wine, a tub of cream and a rhubarb crumble! Oh and a token bag of carrots. In theory that sweet stuff will last me until the end of the week. Yeah right.......
- Healthy eating Tomatoes, an orange, orange juice, jalapenos and olives (the last two were on the takeaway pizza that Master Happy turned up bearing so I suppose that cancels them out
). Sweet treats were two chocolate biscuits and a crème egg. Small glass of wine.
- Admin and catch-up admin Nope
- Contact with parents Drove over for a family visit, they are both fine but really want the move to happen now. Haven't visited Mr H's mum today but are going tomorrow. The NHS are doing her proud
, we are very lucky.
- Keep house tidy Not bothered much because I've got to clean up properly tomorrow for the electrician visit. We don't know where the fault is so he might need to go in every room - quite the incentive!

I'll admit to feeling the same!

In theory that sweet stuff will last me until the end of the week. Yeah right....... The only reason I'm not doing the same kind of shopping is that I stocked up for December / Christmas / OH's birthday and am still decluttering ....

- Keep house tidy Not bothered much because I've got to clean up properly tomorrow for the electrician visit. We don't know where the fault is so he might need to go in every room - quite the incentive! I find it amazing that tidying up and vacuuming are enough to make most hovels appear to be quite civilized. Seems to work here, anyway.
- Five fruit and veg a day: Grapefruit juice, tomatoes ....
- Lights out by 11.30pm Tick. I'd like to think I can cope without sticking to this on Fridays and Saturdays but it doesn't work for me.
- Make 100 sales cold calls by 31.1.17. Saturday and Sunday shouldn't count, should they?
- One random act of kindness or public service a day Since I had my lightbulb moment about 10 days ago about this I've been researching my chosen activity and OH and I have made some progress together.
- Record something lovely that happens every day so that at the end of the year when I empty the jar I'll remember all the good things that happened It's a surprise to me that I'm struggling with this. I either don't think about things in the right way, or I lead a dismal life with nothing lovely happening. It doesn't feel like the latter, so it must be the former. It's proving to be quite a 'think and ponder' exercise.
- After 7th January cut out sugar until 1st February. A 40g bar of chocolate, and a handful of jellybabies. I don't like using the word addict but the cravings are defo there. Having managed a week without sugar once a while back I'm not sure why it's so hard now.

Hey Honey Bear
This is pretty much why I haven't joined in for January, I just can't stop eating sweet stuff. My motivation is still missing. I have searched everywhere and put posters on lampposts etc.but it's still missing
. I'm hoping I find it soon before my weight really suffers.

Hi, Happy :hello:
Hope you had a good birthday and sorry to hear about Mr H's mum, wishing her a speedy recovery.

You can email fitbit rather than ring them if you would prefer. That's all we did. Just go to the 'contact' page of their website.

I think all our motivations might have run off together! I'm shocking for the sweet stuff all year, but I can usually do a bit better than this. I still think setting targets helps though - I made a cheese sandwich today and if it hadn't been for the diary I wouldn't have bothered with a side salad. I suppose it's better to half-!!! it than do nothing at all. Hopefully you might feel ready to join in for Fab Feb.
