Here I am, but not for long. Our internet and my phone are still out of action. The target day for repair was Friday and it didn't happen so I rang Three and they have 'escalated' the issue - new target day is NEXT Friday! Luckily Mr H's phone is on a different network so we can use that and I can tether my laptop to it, but of course he always has it with him so it's not usually practical - and certainly not private. He's in bed at the moment so I'm borrowing it.
Honey - I hope you are feeling better. The weightloss is quite a consolation though
Dolphin - You are doing brilliantly still and earned that Pizza Express trip. Is it your shopping delivery today? If so I hope you got your meal planning done!
NotNormal - thanks for reading and well done on that overpayment. No, I doubt very much that Mr H can remember the debt figures. Oh to be able to just switch off like that! He's doing his bit though by not spending much and by working last month's paid overtime, so I'd rather he just left the rest of it to meLBM Dec 2011. So, today is the last day of May. June's targets are a lot more fun and I'm ready for that, but here's my update for the last couple of days!
- Finances. Doing well with this although there were no additional credit card repayments this month. Mr H's free Tesco T-Shirts have arrived and are great. I won the tankini on eBay for £16 but it hasn't arrived yet. If it doesn't fit it I will relist it straight away. The uKash prepaid travel money card has arrived so I am now obsessively checking the exchange rate before loading it - I feel like a stockbroker
. I must go to Tessie's today and buy some sensible food, and also Mr H has to get some new glasses, but they will be cheap (because I am going with him to help choose!).
- Healthy eating. It's still all about rhubarb. And chocolate. I am still getting my 5 a day some days but not all.
- Water. Still floating.
- Spring cleaning. YES!! FINALLY!! I had a mega-spurt yesterday and bottomed our playroom (not sure why it's still called that when the kids are 23 and 22!), laundry room and hallway.

Yesterday (day 26)...
1) No chocolate, sweets or biscuits.
2) Disaster! I had a slice of orange and lemon cake. I can see that I could easily fall back in to the habit of cake most days so I am going to have to keep this target for June.
3) Light out at 10.50pm and awake at 7.25am. I am quite liking these early nights.
4) Success! :j I have meal planned for the week and had my shopping delivered. Even better, the shopping only cost me £32 because I already have loads in the freezer so just needed fruit/veg and some household stuff. I might need to spend another £10-£20 over the week on milk, bread and fruit/veg but if I only spend £52 for the week, I'll be happy with that.
5) No spends on other people.0 -
Hello all. Exams are still ruling this part of Cumbria and we're on the eve of two more weeks, followed by a couple of random dates - I don't like to wish my life or my children's lives away but I am so looking forward to June 19th: there will be steak (sorry Happy - thank you T*sco Orchard), cheesecake and red wine/fizzy pop that night.
And the week after that DS2 is on his residential week at an outward bound centre and DS1 and I plan to pootle around for the whole week. OH seems somewhat above all the stress which irritates me for some reason.
So my plans for June are mostly just to get through it including:
- no drinking alcohol Mon-Thurs
- 6mile walk with dog daily
- kondo top floor of houseLD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

Lovely to see you posting again Happy and Yah Boo Sucks to internet companies that don't specify which Friday they're going to fix the service. It probably saves you hours of time though not being able to pootle about on t'internet, hence bottomed playroom. I feel very jangly without my window on the world when it goes down for a couple of hours so how you're coping I don't know.
Lovely to see you posting targets, Joey!
I've got some for Jubilant June but they're in the other room and the cat's sitting on my ankles so it would be mean to disturb him. I'll post them later.
In the meantime, the final round up for May goes something like this:- We took the dog to the beach on Saturday and his behaviour was utterly fascinating. He led us straight to our chalet never having been there before, and then led us down to the beach, which makes more sense. He was fine being hosed down afterwards and then broke out of the garden, which was not fine. Anyway, all good progress.
- Done!
- Done!
- Lights out before midnight.
- Serious lack of flying.

Thanks Honey. They are pretty much what I do every week anyway but if I write it down then it will get done (hopefully) rather than just a woolly aim. Obviously the dog walking is a necessity so that always happens though not always the full distance, and I don't often drink in the week but if there's a bottle open it can happen despite being perfectly good to keep with the use of the old 80's vacuvin stopper. Its about being mindful.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

Welcome to the party Joey . Good luck with your targets!
Update for yesterday (day 27 and final day of May)...
1) No chocolate, sweets or biscuits.
2) No cake.
3) Light out at 10.20pm.
4) Meal plan for the week already done
5) No spends on other people.
Not a bad way to end the month at all. I'll be back later when I have figured out my June targets.0 -
- No computer after 9.00 pm.
- Lights out by 11.00 four nights a week.
- Maximum of two mugs of real coffee per day.
- Bake a really lovely, totally scrumptious coffee and walnut cake - and eat it.
- Train Kelpie that coming to call means NOW and is not a matter of choice on his part.
