Ok, my targets for June are going to be the same as May with only one change and one slight adjustment as they are important to me and I don't think they have become second nature yet...
1) No butter (only low fat spread allowed).
2) No cake.
3) Switch light off no later than 11pm every night (I am way more productive with the correct amount of sleep so no more late nights for me).
4) Meal plan at the end of every week for the following week.
5) No unnecessary spends on gifts for other people (for June, I have set a maximum budget of £40, £10 for one nephew's birthday and £30 for two fathers day gifts).0 -
And we are off for June!
Yesterday...
1) No butter.
2) No cake.
3) Light off at 10.30pm.
4) Meal plan for the week already done.
5) No spends on other people.0 -
- Excellent night out last night followed by having a few people back for cheese and wine, so no computer after 9.00 pm (success!) ...
- ... but I didn't get to bed until 12.30 (fail!) - but so worth it
- Managed to make myself stop at two mugs of coffee by resorting to a mug of instant (yuk).
- Icing sugar and walnuts bought yesterday, and a Mary Berry cookbook borrowed from the library.
- Three walks so far with a clicker and some chicken seem to be refocussing his attention rather well.

Glad you had a great night! :j
Yes, can't imagine how Mrs HappyNow is coping without regular internet access. I would be climbing the walls by now.0 -
Popping in to say hello.
Managed dog walk and started the kondo-ing at the top of the house but didn't get too far as some unexpected paid work cropped up, and would love to kondo one of my small debt parcels more than I need to kondo the accumulated carp in the spare rooms. Tiny thimble of neighbour's homemade wine to see if its ready - it isn't - but don't feel that counts. Everyone is doing splendidly it seems, hope Mrs H is having a lovely time.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

I don't think Mrs H is on holiday yet, her internet is down. Basically by the time it's back up she'll be off to sunnier climes for a fortnight so her 'fessing up June is going to consist of a couple of days at the end, I think. It looks like we're on our own here for a while. I wonder what havoc we can create on her shiney thread. Hmm.
Good luck with the Small Debt Parcel. How are you going to celebrate getting that one dealt with?Better is good enough.0 -
- I knew flashing the computer back up late at night was becoming a bad habit - Day 2 and I was sorely tested by this one but I started a new book instead. I feel very virtuous.
- Lights out at 10.58, so that's one down this week.
- Managed to 'resist' having an instant yesterday and today I'm spinning my first mug of coffee out.
- No baking done, but four large hobnobs scoffed. Oops.
- Training going well. At the start of the last walk of the day he was responding instantly to the clicker without looking for a treat. I'm very, very pleased with him.

Yesterday's update is a bit of a disaster...
1) Had butter on toast for breakfast.
2) Had a slice of victoria sponge.
3) Light off at 11.23pm.
4) Meal plan for the week already done.
5) No spends on other people.
...so failed on 3 out of 5 of my targets. Deserve one of these.

By smiling brightly and moving on to another one probably :T. I have a few of them - they are none of them insurmountable just additional to the normal run of things and need to be paid off ideally by additional monies coming into the house. I like giving myself these little targets to hit and focussing on a few at a time rather than the whole. It feels much more achievable that way. I know you are being really good Dolphin but buttered toast is one of life's real pleasures - once in a while will be OK as long as it doesn't become a daily habit, won't it?LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300
