Dolphin - you are still on fire and those pounds must be falling off you. I have a friend whose husband has to be gluten free and it costs them a fortune so you have my sympathies. Hope you slept OK last night.
I actually seem to be stuck at the same weight at the moment but my clothes seem to be looser so I don't know what that's all about. OH has lost a few more lbs though. :T
Gluten free food can be very expensive, almost £3 for a loaf of bread although as I have coeliac disease I can get bread and a few other basics on prescription, I don't really bother though.
Actually, since I was diagnosed I have practically given up bread, pasta and pastry. I just haven't found gluten free alternatives worth eating. Sometimes I make gluten free bread myself when I can be bothered but again it isn't quite the same. Thankfully, there is a coffee shop near us that sells fantastic gluten free cake made on the premises. :j
Another rubbish nights sleep here. I just can't seem to switch off at the moment.0 -

- I'm sure stroking the dog counts, really.

- Not eating much for 24 hours certainly helps with weightloss.
- The interesting part of the last 48 hours is that I haven't actually slept a huge amount, I just haven't had any energy.
- No Flying, unless setting the dishwasher going counts.
Normal service will be resumed shortly.
Oh dear, it really is rubbish, I hope you feel better soon!0 - I'm sure stroking the dog counts, really.

Yesterday (day 23)...
1) No sweets or biscuits but I had half a bar of white chocolate.
2) No cake.
3) Light out at 11pm but was quite restless so was late getting up this morning.
4) Still meal planning a day at a time.
5) No spends on other people.0 -
I've been lurking for a while, but wanted to pop out and say well done for all you've managed to accomplish! I'm glad your OH took it well when you told him the actual figures, did he remember them in the end though lol? Keep doing what you're doing, you're an inspiration. Because of your thread I decided to make an overpayment even if it was only small and paid an extra £5 (and change) off one of my debts. Then realised actually thats half one months payments to that particular debt so it's really good!I actually seem to be stuck at the same weight at the moment but my clothes seem to be looser so I don't know what that's all about. Do you feel stronger/in better shape? Only muscle weighs more than fat, so chances are if you're smaller/clothes are looser but your weight is the same you've lost the weight but muscles are growing somewhere which has increased the weight and kept it the same if that makes sense? For example when I used to cycle my weight didn't change much but I dropped a dress size. I was finding the cycling easier and the doctor pointed out that meant my thigh muscles were stronger/growing and so would weigh more and that would be why I had got skinnier but not lost weight according to the scales.
Also in regards to gluten free I know you get gluten stuff on prescription but if you have a google there are a couple of gluten free companies that do large hampers for free. They send it out and you can find out what you like from it so you know what to get on prescription.

Hi NotNormal, I'm not sure I feel stronger but I certainly feel in better shape. I think it might be because I do a lot of walking as I seem to have lost the inches around my stomach and thighs. I wasn't sure if the "muscles weighs more than fat" theory was a myth though but I guess not.

Thank you for the link for the Glutafin hamper but I signed up for that one a couple of months ago. There was quite a lot in it so I have still got some of it to use. However, if you know any others that send out free samples then please let me know as I haven't signed up for any others.0 -
- Not much happening on the dog front training-wise and he's now three days overdue his first flea treatment from me. That will have to be dealt with today.
- Done!
- Either the clothes are getting baggier or the lower half is tightening up. I'd rather it went off the balcony but as long as it's gone I'm happy.
- This midnight lights out thing works; I'm sleeping better than I have in years.
- No Flying.

Yesterday (day 24)...
1) No chocolate, sweets or biscuits.
2) No cake.
3) Light out at 10.45pm and managed to sleep through for a change :j.
4) Still meal planning a day at a time. Suppose I should start thinking about a meal plan for next week.
5) No spends on other people.0 -
Happy weekend all!
Yesterday (day 25)...
1) No chocolate, sweets or biscuits.
2) Pizza Express for tea and I had chocolate brownie for dessert. It was much nicer than the chocolate brownie that I had the other day. I promise no more cake for the rest of the month, all two days of it.
3) Light out at 10.30pm and I finally feel like I am catching up with my sleep since having the cold as I was awake by 7am this morning (unheard of on a weekend).
4) Still haven't done a meal plan for next week but I will do it today.
5) No spends on other people.0 -
- We flea'd the dog yesterday. Every time either of us went anywhere near him he rolled on his back and waved his legs in the air which was unhelpful. OH was convinced we should just pour the toxins on any bit of exposed skin roughly in the area of his neck that was available but I prevailed and the dog was treated properly. Every little milestone helps.
- Done!
- I am 136lbs which is 4lbs lower than my target weight - for over a decade. I'm not sure it's even sensible to think about losing more. I'm now well within the 'Normal' range for my height so I think now is the time to find out what I can eat without putting on weight.
- Grr. Broke my own hard and fast rule and didn't switch the light out until 12.10. I need to get myself into the habit of not pushing boundries.
- No Flying but I did bake a batch of Twinks Hobnobs for OH who has been a particularly good bloke recently - once he knew what help I needed.

Definitely worth making sure it's done properly. Last thing you need is fleas in the house. Yuck! - Done!

Way to go. :T I can only ever dream of being 136lbs. - Grr. Broke my own hard and fast rule and didn't switch the light out until 12.10. I need to get myself into the habit of not pushing boundries.
I know what you mean, the recent sleepless nights have confirmed just how much I need my sleep in order to be productive during the day. - No Flying but I did bake a batch of Twinks Hobnobs for OH who has been a particularly good bloke recently - once he knew what help I needed.
