Starting on Sunday 1st Feb and ending on Saturday 28th Feb, I pledge that:
    • I will waste no money whatsoever 1st Feb - done, no spends at all
    • I will balance my YNAB daily 1st Feb - done, although there was a £3.99 iTunes transaction from last week, which Mr H owned up to. He has now had an official warning!
    • I will drink no alcohol :-( 1st Feb - done with no difficulty, but it's easy on non-working days
    • I will eat healthily and not excessively 1st Feb - done, no problem
    • I will eat 5 portions of fruit and veg each day 1st Feb - done, probably had more than 5 actually
    • I will drink at least three glasses of water per day 1st Feb - done, but had to get up in the night for a wee
    • I will be a Flylady for at least 15 minutes daily, plus tidy as I go 1st Feb - done, focussed on making the entire house acceptable which took about 2 hours, and I will try and maintain that daily, plus build in 20 mins of deeper cleaning stuff in a grot-spot
    • I will spend a minimum of seven and a maximum of nine hours in bed each night 1st Feb - done, bed by 10 pm, up at 5:30 :(
    • I will only do one Candy Crush session daily! 1st Feb - the hard one! But done!

OK, yesterday was Day 1 of Fab Feb and I managed the full set. One down, 27 to go. Feeling holy :)!

I've been feeling a bit crappy and blah and unfit recently, and I need a kick up the bum. Soooo, I have decided to do a 'Fab Feb' challenge. Starting on Sunday 1st Feb and ending on Saturday 28th Feb, I pledge that:
    • I will waste no money whatsoever
    • I will balance my YNAB daily
    • I will drink no alcohol :-(
    • I will eat healthily and not excessively

Because I'm a total saddo I intend to record my success daily on here for motivation, otherwise I know I won't keep to it. If anyone reads this, you will probably want to make a mental note to avoid popping in during February to avoid being bored witless!!

I post elsethread about a couple of your Fab Feb items and a couple don't apply to me (Candy Crush and YNAB) but if keeping company is motiviting, can I be on your team? And may I substitute fruit tea for water?
    Better is good enough.

I should think it has. WELL DONE GLAMMY. Ooh, have you had to buy a whole new wardrobe?? I know that's completely non-MSE but how exciting!!! And essential (don't want those size 22 jeans falling off in Tesco) so completely justifiable :)

Oooh, yes please Honey Bear. Keeping company is VERY motivating and I would LOVE to have a teammate :). Obviously feel free to add/remove/adjust any pledges to suit your own individual vices (although how anyone can drink fruit tea is beyond me. It smells and looks so delicious but then tastes awful, very disappointing!).

Starting on Sunday 1st Feb and ending on Saturday 28th Feb, I pledge that:
    • I will waste no money whatsoever 2nd Feb - done. Zero spend for me because the ice was so bad I couldn't get up our lane so had to work from home. Mr Happy has drawn out another £10 I notice. I suspect he's buying secret bacon sandwiches. Must challenge him on this!
    • I will balance my YNAB daily 2nd Feb - done. I actually do this most days anyway so it's not much of a challenge really
    • I will drink no alcohol :-( 2nd Feb - done. This is the one I'm expecting to struggle with the most, but so far I'm OK
    • I will eat healthily and not excessively 2nd Feb - done. Only healthy food consumed apart from one biscuit.
    • I will eat 5 portions of fruit and veg each day 2nd Feb - done
    • I will drink at least three glasses of water per day 2nd Feb - done. I measured the glass I'm using and three glasses is only one litre. I might up it to four if I keep finding three easy
    • I will be a Flylady for at least 15 minutes daily, plus tidy as I go 2nd Feb - done with knobs on. The Flylady thread sent me to my bathroom and I washed all the woodwork and cleaned the floor. Took me ages and Mr Happy didn't even notice.
    • I will spend a minimum of seven and a maximum of nine hours in bed each night 2nd Feb. I only managed six and a half hours, but it wasn't my fault because Big Brother was too good to leave.
    • I will only do one Candy Crush session daily! 2nd Feb - done. I didn't play it AT ALL. Yep, cold turkey for me

Day three beginning today. By tonight I will have completed 10% of the month!

Loving the way your pledges are going, :rotfl: about Big Brother being to blame for lack of sleep x

I've bought some new clothes but not much and all in the sales. Mostly my maxi dresses, my clothe of choice just look better on me now than they did and I've decided I need to pare down my wardrobe anyway. Not working means I don't have to buy smart clothes but by the time my journey is over I'll need a whole new wardrobe. OH has said he'll give me £250 if I lose another 3 stone, (I think I need to lose another 5), plus I kept £1,000 of my redundancy pay out to replace my wardrobe. When I get back from Oz I'm going to attempt to sell some of my clothes and bring in a bit that way.

I suppose there's not much value in replacing too many clothes if you're only half way through your weight loss. What a great goal though, a whole new wardrobe! I weigh 8.5 stones, so if you DO lose another 5 on top of the 3.5 you've already lost, you will have lost my entire body weight!!! Five does sound a lot to lose though if you're already in a size 14 - so does three come to think of it! But you clearly know what you want and you've shown massive determination, so I have absolutely no doubt that you will get where you want to be x

    • I will balance my YNAB daily DAY 3 - Done.
    • I will drink no alcohol :-( DAY 3 - Done.
    • I will eat healthily and not excessively DAY 3 - Done. Everything I ate was healthy (although I ate plenty because I'm not trying to lose weight) apart from one biscuit and one chocolate which I bumped into while cleaning a cupboard
    • I will eat 5 portions of fruit and veg each day DAY 3 - Done.
    • I will drink at least three glasses of water per day DAY 3 - Done
    • I will be a Flylady for at least 15 minutes daily, plus tidy as I go DAY 3 - Done. It was kitchen day, and I washed the windows, wooden frames and reveals, and decluttered and polished the windowsill. Took about two hours
    • I will spend a minimum of seven and a maximum of nine hours in bed each night DAY 3 - Done. Managed seven and a quarter hours and it was good quality sleep
    • I will only do one Candy Crush session daily! DAY 3 - Done. Or should I say NOT done - I didn't play it at all again. I don't have time with all this bl00dy cleaning!!

So, all going well in Fab Feb and 10% down :).

Financially we are a bit stuffed. It's not payday for 9 days and we have zero budget for food! Everything else is covered though and the freezer is full, so I'm going to try and manage by robbing the coin jar for milk, fruit etc. The rent money is due in next week so if I'm desperate I will have to use a little of that, but I really have other plans for it.
