I suppose there's not much value in replacing too many clothes if you're only half way through your weight loss. What a great goal though, a whole new wardrobe! I weigh 8.5 stones, so if you DO lose another 5 on top of the 3.5 you've already lost, you will have lost my entire body weight!!! Five does sound a lot to lose though if you're already in a size 14 - so does three come to think of it! But you clearly know what you want and you've shown massive determination, so I have absolutely no doubt that you will get where you want to be x

Bits of me are a 14, depending on make & style but bits of me are larger. I need to lose 5 stone to be in the normal BMI range, which is where I want to be for health reasons. Originally I wanted to lose nearly 10 stone but I've shrunk faster than I thought possible and realise that it's too low for my age.

I was double the weight I was when I met OH 20 years ago last summer, so wanted to get back to my previous weight.

I'm so super determined and can see it happening and loving the new, more confident, happier me.

    X

Well done on day 3 of your pledges x

Hope something turns up money/food wise x

Well those are the important bits right there. Better health, more confidence and happier. Go you! I know this forum is anonymous, but I really wish you could show us a before and after photo when you reach your goal. Maybe via PM just to those who 'know' you?

Oooh, yes please Honey Bear. Keeping company is VERY motivating and I would LOVE to have a teammate :). Obviously feel free to add/remove/adjust any pledges to suit your own individual vices (although how anyone can drink fruit tea is beyond me. It smells and looks so delicious but then tastes awful, very disappointing!).

    * runs to catch up *

Sorry about not dropping back in last week to share progress on the Goals. I will, from now on, switch to subscribing daily and start the February regime from today.

Starting on Sunday 9th Feb and ending on Saturday 28th Feb, I pledge that:
    • I will waste no money whatsoever: I'm working on 15 No Spend Days a month this year, and towards the end of January I had to put the brakes on in order to make that Goal. February is not shaping up well, so the not spending needs to start today.
    • I will balance my YNAB daily: I use an Excel spreadsheet of my own design and each year I tweak it slightly so it gives me slightly more information. My records go back to 2007 and I'm pleased to say, year on year, I've learned how to trim expenditure as a result.
    • I will drink no alcohol :-( I knocked drinking on the head six months ago, so whereas you are :-( I am :-) about this! I love not drinking!
    • I will eat healthily and not excessively Oh whoops. I've been eating chips and Twinks Hobnobs this last week like they're going out of fashion, and have managed to put a kilo back on. This will stop, as of today. *weep*
    • I will eat 5 portions of fruit and veg each day I will. There, last week's carpy eating will be replaced by healthy eating this week, right through until the end of the month.
    • I will drink at least three glasses of water per day: I agree that all herb teas are revolting and most fruit tea is utterly undrinkable, but blackcurrent tea is fabulous, provided it's a good brand. Three mugs is good, four is even better. Four it will be every day from here on in.
    • I will be a Flylady for at least 15 minutes daily, plus tidy as I go: I am already. I'm on a self-imposed Do Three Small Tasks a Day regime at the moment and it's working wonders. I'll certainly do it until the end of the month.
    • I will spend a minimum of seven and a maximum of nine hours in bed each night: I will commit to being in bed by 11.00pm every night.
    • I will only do one Candy Crush session daily! I will only allow one session of Spider a day.
Huge congratulations on reaching all of your goals up to Day 5, and even better, getting the overall debt down to below £100k. That's a massive achievement, very hard won. Well done.
    Better is good enough.
