Lovely to hear from you Mrs H - and with such good news :D
    Fortune x
Thank you Fortune. I did miss my diary and I actually wrote out a long update post on its third anniversary, but it disappeared when I pressed 'submit'. Not that there was much to update really, it's surprising how little happens in my life!

Congratulations on the numbers; I can understand how wearing it is not having the 'finer' things in life mainly because I dispensed with most of them years ago! Your numbers look really heartening.

Thanks Honey Bear. The finer things will all still be there in 2019! I can wait :)

Hi Happy thanks for posting on my diary! Glad to see you back and that you have made progress even when missing. Also glad that Miss Happy has recovered, that must be such a weight off your mind.

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Thanks Chev, it's a MASSIVE weight off our minds. Extra good news today too, because she has just had an offer for her PGCE (teacher training) course to start in September. Not her first choice of uni, but a brilliant Plan B in case Plan A doesn't offer her!

Lots of snow here today and I was really grateful to be working from home.

Another no-waste day, the only spends being £47 on horse food. Our horse food budget is bigger than our human food budget which doesn't seem fair really! They're bigger than us I suppose :)

I've been feeling a bit crappy and blah and unfit recently, and I need a kick up the bum. Soooo, I have decided to do a 'Fab Feb' challenge. Starting on Sunday 1st Feb and ending on Saturday 28th Feb, I pledge that:
    • I will waste no money whatsoever
    • I will balance my YNAB daily
    • I will drink no alcohol :-(
    • I will eat healthily and not excessively
    • I will eat 5 portions of fruit and veg each day
    • I will drink at least three glasses of water per day
    • I will be a Flylady for at least 15 minutes daily, plus tidy as I go
    • I will spend a minimum of seven and a maximum of nine hours in bed each night
    • I will only do one Candy Crush session daily!
Because I'm a total saddo I intend to record my success daily on here for motivation, otherwise I know I won't keep to it. If anyone reads this, you will probably want to make a mental note to avoid popping in during February to avoid being bored witless!!

  • Hi Happy I've never posted on your diary before (I think!) but did keep it on "subscribe" in case you popped back in as I enjoyed reading it before. Many times my heart went out to you, though, with all that got thrown at you. It's great to see you back and that things have calmed down a bit, and making progress on the dreaded debts.
Your Fab Feb sounds exactly that, Fab! Not boring at all. I could be doing with following it myself , apart from YNAB and Candy Crush, can't do either of those. Good luck with it all, onwards and upwards. X

Thanks for posting stoplurking and well done on getting debt-free!! A little light stalking has shown that you don't have a diary as such, so if you want to join in with Fab Feb and post it on here you will be very welcome :)

Most definitely not flabbier, I got into size 14 jeans today I'll have you know. A far cry from my too tight to wear size 22s of last August
