I am so relieved! Mr Happy's car has passed its MOT. It cost £129 for repairs/test fees and another £100 for new tyres, but that's much better than we expected. He did recommend some additional work which we will try to budget for later, especially as he says it will improve its atrocious petrol economy. But for now, all is good.
Not such good news animal-wise - one of our horses is lame. He came in slightly lame last weekend so as a precaution (in case it's the start of laminitis) we've had him on box rest since then. That means his companion is also on box rest because they are very attached to each other and won't be parted. So instead of eating all that lovely free grass, they are eating hay (the lame one) and haylage (his companion) and getting through loads of shavings for bedding. So far it doesn't look serious enough to call the vet, but we are keeping a careful eye on him and if he needs a vet he will have one. We didn't have any vet fees at all last year, so no doubt we are due a whopper!
My Ebay listings end tonight and so far they're totalling just £10.89 so fingers crossed for a last-minute rush. Another five items going on today.
Feeling very motivated right now!

£14 from Ebay. Better than a kick in the face (as they say) and all five items sold so a bit of decluttering achieved too. Another four items listed this week - up at £2.30 so far!
Horse is a little better thanks, but still eating £££ of food each day. As for jumping fences, he would have you know that he is strictly ornamental these days :rotfl:!
Dashing off this morning for a couple of days away (work, not holiday sadly) so no time to catch up on diaries, but I have updated my signature ready for Friday's payday and I have paid the £1100 to my credit card as dictated by my snowball. Now I just have to figure out a way for us all to eat next month :D!LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Oh dear, three weeks since my last entry
. But it's been three positive weeks!
The best-est news of all is that Little Miss Happy is feeling sooooo much better. She has dispensed with her wheelchair altogether and is now walking everywhere - a funny, wobbly walk with her eyes mainly closed, but WALKING!!!! Part of me can't believe she's finally seeing such a massive improvement, but the other part of me keeps remembering her doing 5K runs this time last year and wondering what the hell happened. Anyway, must look forward not back! She still has a long way to go but she will be back at uni in September bossing it!
Granny Happy is still trooping along defying all the doctor's predictions.
Financially I am still totally besotted with YNAB. Slightly peed off that I bought it for £22 and it's now on sale for about £7.50, but there you go! I feel almost ready to throw away the reams of paper that I've treasured since December 2011, detailing every bank transaction I've made since then, but I'm not sure if that's a step too far. Maybe next week :rotfl:
Just had a quick look round the diaries and there seem to be a lot of regulars awol. I shall go and investigate - hopefully they're all out in the sunshine having fun. So pleased to hear things are going well for the Happy family again
Miss H will be back running again, I'm sure.
I've got YNAB on trial at the moment but missed the flash sale. Hi there Happy
That's wonderful news on little Miss H - you all must be over the moon at Happy Towers! She's come such a long way since the beginning of her illness and has been so brave. Glad to hear Granny H is zooming along as well! Perhaps she'll be out hacking on Happy Horse soon!
I know the feeling about YNAB it's really taken off on the forum. Their profits must be about to rocket with everyone coming off their free trials and buying it!Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
