It's embarassing sometimes watching people, they rumage through the stuff throwing food aside they don't want, don't let others get a look in. Buggy's and trollies blocking the isle. I'd sooner go without, and before anyone says it's either that or they will starve, what would happen if the shops didn't reduce anything?2011 Sealed Pot Challenge #1238 hoping for £250 ~ saved £743.32

I try my best to be polite but usually as your going to pick something up some horrid person litterally takes it out of your hand and then they um and ar about it. Last week as i was about to nab a big pork joint a lady got it first, i thought oh well she got there first i'll see what else there is but then followed a big convo with her OH how she didn't think that they would be able to eat it between them as it was too big. They went on about how cheap it was (reduced from £15 to £3!) but that they don't normally eat it etc etc. Weren't sure they would use it!
In the end they took it i think just because it was cheap which is really annoying as i wouldn't have even hesitated and could have made 3 big famliy meals out of it.
Anyway it's a bit of luck to be there at the right time and sometimes a fight to even get a look in, so take your chances when you can.0 -
yeah but if he bought 8 then he must have a heck of a lot of kids if that doesn't feed all of them!0

Christmas Eve, i had picked up 3 loaves reduced and this woman looks in my trolly and says 'Can I have one of your loaves as you have so many?' I replied 'Well I'm feeding 12 over the next two days, so I don't think so!' When i wandered back to the reduced bread there was still about 20 loaves left (all different types!)
Bone idle pest was too blooming lazy to walk to the reduced section ! DOH!The best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.0 -
i don,t eat any sort of meat myself but i feed my dog and cats on fresh meat so was really pleased one day finding a piece of aberdeen angus beef joint down in price for virtually nothing in waitrose, i took it to pay and women commented what a bargain it was and was there any left, sorry no i had the only one. husband then then told her it was for the dog,,,,both her and women waiting looked at me as if i was s--t, i felt like i had just got caught shoplifting.. i was very upset for the next few hours untill i took joint out of oven and dog bounded in the kichen jumping about and barking with excitement because he could smell his dinner to be. that made it all worth it.0
