I do like my woopsies (3p french bread and 10p for4 finest croissons yesterday!) but its not a neccesity, i dont push shove or argue. If it was between food on the table or none i might but whoever gives you babble about children not being fed for 99p chicken is talking rubbish, there are plenty or cheaper filling meals. Its not worth the fight imo. I dont tend to buy reduced meat anyway always wonder how long its sat out the fridge on the reduced trolly
plus only a tiny freezer!

I'd rise to the challenge and tell him my baby is ill and needs the protein more! Actually my baby is the dog who the vet recommended be fed on chicken and rice! I've bought a lot more from the reduced section since! Anyone can make up a sob story and I'd think he was taking the mickey for a bit of chicken, especially when he'd already got 8!0

I turn my yellow sticker items upside down in the trolley so no one can see them. People are so cheeky they might help themselves while you are distracted.

I was in a supermarket the other day and went to have a look at the reduced section. I must have got there just too late because there was a man who had FILLED his trolley with goodies all for 50p (I'm talking big joints of meat etc, things which would easily freeze). I was annoyed he'd taken it all and left none for anyone else, but then I realised that if I'd been there first I would have taken lots too!0

I am so glad in our Asda that they have got really strict with the whoopsies. Before, it used to be like a scrum, with people shoving items under the poor SA nose and bullying him into reducing them further. Now, they have a tall cage with shelves which is open only on one side. You can't reach into it from the back or sides.
If the SA hasn't put it on the trolley, he will not reduce it. And if anyone hands him anything, asking him to reduce it, he just refuses.
It is a lot more civilised now.
There will always be rude people around. I have found that if you are polite, and others who have been waiting with you know you are waiting on a particular item, they will get it as soon as it is reduced, and hand it to you. I am Muslim, and have been handed the halal meat items by others waiting at the fridge.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

Surely not. Really. I mean, what sort of person would stoop that low. :eek:A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
I have to say, our local supermarket never reduces things by that much and the reduced section is not very big either. I'd love to see some of the bargains other people seem to see.Herman - MP for all!0

What a good idea must do his, twice I hav had peopletrying to take stuff out of my basket.I use a 4 wheel shopping trolley and put a basket on the top,so it is quite obviously someones shopping but they still try it on.
Also, incredible ,the SA who served me today was rather shaken up
and explainedshe had just had to deal with an incident whereby a man helped himself to another customers whoopsies, on the conveyor belt and was very agressive and foul mouthed when she asked for them back.Slimming World at target0 -
I get customers all the time lying by saying they are only buying the cheap stuff for their dogs, cats, etc. When you know that really they are buying it for themselves. Just admit it instead of trying to justify why you ate buying 10 packets of sliced chicken for 10p each.
Also I never reduce stuff on demand from a customer.0
