  • I got some Mickey Mouse wall stickers from one friend. They're on an A4 size bit of paper & there's two of them?! Hardly something I'm going to put on my wall as I'm quite old and married, but I do love MM! Oh well.
  • My hubby got a giant mug with a picture of Thomas Crappers original toilet on it,how tasteful is that? My worst present was a minature bottle of wine,a wine glass and the glass was supposed to contain chocolates (they had obviously been taken out as the packaging was damaged), I mean I know i'm on a diet but really......!
  • A locket from avon with my initial on it, its massive more like a dog tag. Loads of tins of biscuits and sweets.
  • I wouldn't say I have had any really awful presents but mabe some innapropriate ones. When I was pregnant, that Christmas I received alot of alcohol gifts. To be fair they didn't know at the time I was pregnant but they had a 'feeling' I might have been lol.

I usually get awful gifts from the same person every year though. I appreciate the gift is bought as a nice gesture and they clearly don't know much about me with their gift choices but never-the-less it's the thought that counts and I appreciate the thought.

Last year I was asked what I wanted, and said anything except chocolate, and everyone bought me chocolate! Why ask? It did last near enough the whole of the next year though :)

Several years ago, when asked, my mum told my step grandad that bath "smellies" would be ideal as a Christmas gift as he wanted ideas. She got one of those old-fashioned shaving sticks that had been used and a soap on a rope, also used!

This was the first year that our sons (9 and 11) have gone out and bought presents for my DH and I - they went with my MIL. Mine wasn't too bad - an artist's painting set from the Works but my DH got a cuddly little dog on a pretend lead! :D
