probably one of those clothes rollers that gets hair of your clothes!
  • Red cross pens, you know the ones sent with begging letters, from my grandparents, and a set of puppy notelets that they were re-gifting to me (and told me so).

My gran once gave me a metre length of crocheted material which I presumed was a scarf and never wore.

Six months later she commented that she never saw me wearing the new tie she made me !!!!!
  • Every year my adult kids (late 30s) and I exchange one silly pressie, usually from a recycling shop or such! This year I got a set of four tin partridges and some knitted wattles, son got a knitted crocodile and daughter a card of knicker elastic!
  • A Spring onion growing kit! Last year it was a lavender gift set with hidden tag saying "To Ann, From Lisa". (My name isn't ANN! but the giver's name is!)

This year I got a free sample toothpaste - all wrapped up!!
Previously for a birthday I got a half eaten box of chocolates!!
  • My brother received 4 jars of Marmite from his very rich in-laws. Whats that all about?:rotfl:
  • Nothing this year but a few years ago, weeks after I had given birth to my daughter and had given up work to become a stay at home mum, I received a black briefcase from my brother and sister in law. I have never ever done an office based job, so to this day I don't know what the reasoning was behind it.
