We've all plastered on that lame present false smile. What was the most bizarre or rubbish present you got this Xmas?

  • Carton of apple juice!...

  • Jewellery making kit that said on the box for ages 3+, it was full of plastic beads with a picture of a girl on the front. Clearly for children and I'm 29 :rotfl:

From my mother in law I have gotten 6 Wire coat hangers one year, a box of turkish delight that she had bought on her honeymoon and had been mouldering in a draw for 30 years another year, and another a truly awful mans extra large fake sheepskin coat, (I am a size 10).
  • My brother once bought me a bottle of paint thinner.

BTW in my youth I was an airfix fan, not an alcoholic :D

A moustache cup ... I am female and don't have a moustache. Giver thought it was a funny joke. I thought it was a total waste of money - I'd rather not have a gift at all.
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
  • Mines a bit odd, as if I were a normal fit and healthy person the gifts would have been acceptable, but as I am awaiting stomach surgery (with possible removal) I was a bit baffled to recieve cook books from my MIL.
Especially as one is for curry and I currently can not eat spicy food without being in agony. :( (never mind the fact I hate cookery books and never use them).

DHs worst ever gift was a PINK duck radio from his mum :rotfl:.

  • Threads here and here on this subject! Some 'gifts' are
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.
  • This year my worst present was red leather driving gloves from my aunt. Wouldnt be the kind of thing I would wear (being into punk/psychobilly style) even if I did drive!

My mum - being in the very advanced stages of Parkinsons and having to have thickener in her drinks to stop her aspirating fluids/being on a ton of medication got a bottle of bacardi off her oldest friend! In his defense he buys the same thing every year (god only knows how many bottles she has) because bacardi and coke was something she may have once drank in his company lol.
