  • I'm not afraid of it I just choose to avoid it wherever possible :D

I'm not sure if I can cook or not - I'm aware of the techniques and process' but am so rarely home that I never bother, and generally being on my own at the house there isn't much point cooking properly when it's so much easier to see whats in the freezer and chuck it in the oven. Must admit I'm not a fan of rare/blue meat, but then I eat so little red meat that it doesnt really matter to me, as long as its not my plate swimming in blood.

Alas, that's exactly what I do. I have a pizza waiting for tomorrow...

If you squeeze the steak before putting it on the plate, then you can get rid of the worst. Otherwise, it's stick a dessert spoon under your plate to make sure your veg is "uphill".

I have no idea why it's called bleu. It most definately is not... :rotfl:

Pizza is good, counts as healthy any everything since it has tomato on it!

Today can be summed up as quite simply, pants. Long and boring, as both shifts were really really quiet. Had a wander in Guildford between shifts as I had two mystery shops to do, and managed to spend more than I earned from doing the two shops - although I did need the things I bought (ballet flat style shoes and a shelf/display stand for my bedside lamp as it keeps nearly falling off the stack of books it's currently propped up on).

I also didn't see the hint dropper, and one of my friends who promised to come in for a drink and a chat didn't bother - though after working the night shift I saw him at lunch time so he was probably asleep by the time I was working in the evening.

  • I love my friends got to work today looking rough thanks to seriously over sleeping - I managed to wake up less than 40 mins before I was due to start, having slept through my alarms, and my phone ringing!

A couple of sips in to coffee number one I was asked if I was still alive or just pretending, apparently the evidence for my actually being alive was that I was just as sarcastic and mean as usual. Pretty much all the customers who are friendly enough with me to risk commenting noticed how bad I looked, most presumed I was hungover which is a little unfair as I didn't have any alcohol last night!

Swagbucks money has arrived in my paypal account and I've made the request to transfer it to the bank.

Does that include chips and tomato ketchup?

    Unusually quiet?

They're obviously not loud enough... ;)

  • Yes.

    Yes.

20-30 mins depending on traffic on the M3 - when thats snarled up it can take ages to get under it and out the other side. Luckily today it was quiet!

Long swagbucks survey is done, took alot longer than the 20 mins it claimed it would and I'm now off to my bed as I have the deepest joy of another early shift tomorrow (well today now, meh).

  • Monday was quite a good day - didn't see hint dropper to attempt to swop numbers, but did decide that I was in need of a trip to the pub.

So one of the girls from work who lives the other side of the semi local pub from me met up and have consumed a considerable quantity of alcohol, whilst texting her new man, and chatting to a pilot who works at the local airfield.

Most of our mutual customers would be somewhat horrified to see what we're really like, since so many still think we're both quiet, sensible and mature....we aquired the pilot when we were giggling so loudly that the entire pub could hear, and he couldn't pretend to not hear our conversation anymore!

My current thinking is that if the weather is good I might walk in to work tomorrow to check on my partner in alcohol and then walk home again as I don't think I have any mystery shops booked and a nice long walk will be good for both my hangover and the fact that running with a hangover makes me ill.

Short run done, only did a 1.5 mile route, as although not as hungover as I expected I didnt feel up to a longer one, spent pretty much all the rest of the day sat on the sofa whilst getting my washing done and hung out to dry as its a fairly warm breezy day - then bringing it in again as it's getting covered in the weird fuzzy seeds which are getting blown from one of the plants/weeds in my garden.

I also dug out a hammer and fixed the loose board on the shed before it fell off totally. Tomorrow I need to cut the grass again as it's getting tall (surely it has to stop growning so fast soon?).

Swagbucks money arrived at its final destination in my bank account this morning so my savings account is only £120 less now than it was before I paid for my OU course. The course materials arrived in the post this morning, quite curious to see how the red plastic mug mat fits in to the course, although I can understand the pH test strips - looking forward to the course website opening next week so I can get started.

So why don't you kill the plant? Or at least chop its bits off.

The snow tends to press it back into the soil...

  • Nope the 'mature sensible and quiet' thing was proven when one of my former regular customers (who is also a good friend) was in earlier, we were both told off for flirting/inappropriate comments, in my case by my boss in his by his colleagues.... colleagues who were regular customers back when he was one too ;)

I don't puke hungover, I just feel ill mores the pity. :(

Killing the plant would involve actually going out in to the garden with the weed killer and seeing what survives - so far I haven't done so as the watering can is what I've been using to fill the fish tank, and even at my drunkest/tiredest I know fish won't cope well with weed killer!

Grass trimmed - I'm kinda hoping for less growth before the snow hits as I hate having to dry washing indoors and even I know that snow doesnt = dry washing!

Strangely the marked circle on the "mug" mat doesnt fit any of the mugs I own but my stella pint glass which I use for wine fits perfectly.

Enjoy? I'm going to hate ever second, but at least I know that now, as it means I'll enjoy the feeling of getting it over and done with in the same way I do every other thing I do study wise.
