Go to work after a few drinks? Not sure the police who lurk on the roundabouts would like me driving after a drink.....

You can always get a lift in... :p

The gossip is entertaining I have to admit, I may have allowed one of the nosier customers 'play' I have never with me and left him with several impressions which are utterly untrue - one of the ejits questions was 'I have never had wipe clean outfits in my wardrobe' wetsuits are wipe clean no?

    Neoprene? Not really...

Unless it's some other kind of wetsuit... ;)

And obviously the smurfs since I'm bigger than them, and as mentioned earlier see no reason to make any actual effort myself ;)

Even without you working for it, the Smurfs should have you climbing the walls...

And on that note I need to get to bed, have to be up in the morning to get a train in to Guildford to harrass some coffee shop staff among others and need to work out where on earth I've put my scales and thermometer so I can calibrate them before get the 9am train!

    Calibrate them for what?
And let's be honest, you have such wonderful aspirations and what with the studying etc. you're working hard for them - why not work out what the next logical step is (be it a new job, new location, new diving gear), and let that guide you.

    Indeed the five P's.
ok, that's enough meddling - except to ask how you know you're bigger than smurfs.... ;)

That one is easy Smurfs take steroids - that's why they're blue. Steroids do not lead to "bigness".

    Honest - it's true...

    Only "mostly"?

Work wise agreed I just need to decide, still looking at work round here but being extremely picky about what I actually apply for, think this week I've applied for one job, and there were none last week. But in the next month or so

    That's a euphemism of ASAP - isn't it?

I need to go see the national agencies and get my latest CV to them so at least then I can start thinking about looking for things elsewhere - if I find a job back 'home' I like the look of as long as I can cover my rent here I know my parents would be happy for me to go back to living with them until I hand this place back and get my deposit so I could rent my own place again.

So there's the start of a plan...

  • Given my stupid shift pattern getting lifts is impossible. I'd say at least one of my wetsuits is wipe clean - it has a shiney surface layer rather than the usual fabric, not that I wear it very often as it is stunningly unflattering even by wetsuit standards.

There are times when the gossip is just plain stupid, or on very rare occasions getting closer to the truth than I'd expect.

And not its not a euphemism, I need to rewrite it, and tailor it for various different types of work before I start passing it out again, and the next couple of weeks are devoted to finishing off this OU module. Hopefully well enough to at least qualify for the right to resit/resubmit rather than an out and out fail. Yes that sounds defeatist but unless I get scores in the high 90's on both I can't pass as it stands.

  • It doesnt on her....sadly for me my popcorn/crisps/chocolate addictions mean I don't have her proportions (and thats before we discuss my ability to avoid most exersize which might work on toning me up rather than just doing cardio work).

Well not too much procrastination....I took my OU books to work with me tonight along with the EMA paperwork, achieved the sum of sod all, since I don't understand half the questions never mind how to answer them - I lubs physics and chemistry I does. :(

On the plus side since I've been home tonight I've managed to answer two of the icma questions and got them right at the first attempt, just another 23 to go.

Today I have done washing, dusted, and hoovered. I've achieved nothing money saving wise, but equally haven't spent any money either.

Todays run was just as uncomfortable as the others have been but was a little bit quicker averaging 11.02 min/mile.

Had a bag of slightly old looking potatos in my cupboard so have them in the oven now, am hoping that prebaked baked potatos can go in the freezer and be microwaved at some point in the future - should really go look that up to check actually.

Well if it makes it more interesting, chemistry is what makes stuff explode, and physics is what it does when it does... if that makes any sense... ;)

Though EMA to me is exponential moving average, so not quite sure where that fits into things.

You just need a good run at them.

Is not spending money, the ultimate in money-saving acheivements?

GNR at the weekend. Perhaps that'll spur you on.

It would be advisable. Defrosting them is not a good time to find out they turn into wallpaper paste with skins...

  • EMA is the end of module assignment although yours sounds more interesting! Got the email confirmation from the OU that I'm registered on the next course and checking my credit card, the payment has been taken and the payment paying it off has been recieved too. Now to manage that while reducing the balance as well!

Better money saving would be to earn money and not spend any, but I'll take not spending any as an over all win.

I've managed two more of the questions, and think I've got three more organised but not 100% confident of the answers so not input them yet.

Doubtful, seeing customers coming in after their sports afternoons and seeing the loons running in an evening when I'm on my way home should motivate me, mainly it makes me reach for the popcorn/crisps/chocolate.

Having checked there are mixed opinions, but they should be edible, I'll probably use them as a side rather than the actual meal though.

Because it is. Take your triumphs when they are there as sometimes they'll be all too scarce.

I suppose it depends on how they look. I used to work with someone who went running/did squash every dinner time. If I looked like he did after it, people would be driving me to A&E...

Yes, that is wise. "Edible" covers so many sins. What I consider edible has most people ordering takeaways...

So can I count my conversation this evening as a massive triumph....still no phone number but if not for some juniors coming in and sitting next to us causing a very very necessary change of conversational topic ( we were def venturing in to not safe for work land :o) I would have suggested he clearly needed my number for another time!

They don't tend to look that bad it just looks like hard work which means I reach for the fun food not the running shoes.

I have similar cooking skills, a drawer full of takeaway menus usually makes life easier when I have friends round who can't be talked in to walking to the pub/greasy spoon for lunches.

That can happen another time - at least now you (plural) know you are on the same wavelength. Well done!

I can cook (though I can't usually be bothered) it's just when I grill things for me, other people prod it and listen for mooing.

They don't seem to like that "juicy meat" thing... ;)
