Most things are more entertaining that TV these days, so many channels so little worth watching.

But there's Idol, and American Idol, and Teen Idle and Really Idle.

What's there not to like? ;)

They're mass market paperbacks so nothing special, hence they just sit there, someone suggested I try using facebook selling pages but I've not got around to looking in to those yet and tbh unless I can get someone to just come and take the lot I'm not sure the effort is going to be worth it.

Well you could combine the two. Look up and see where postage jumps up in price, deduct the weight of packaging, then job-lot them on facebook.

I like being Idle, but not so much watching it :) Speaking of which I had planned to get up this morning and go for a short run but over slept so didnt have time - it's amazing just how long a short run takes when you have long hair to wash and dry afterwards.

It could be a plan but still sounds like waaay to much like hard work for me. After talking about disposing of stuff last night I chucked a pile of the ex's old study books in the recycling bag to be put out for collection tonight - why on earth a 28 year old still had books he used to study for his GCSE's on a book case I will never understand! Means I have half a shelf cleared now to move some of the books I've not read yet on to so they're closer to hand when I want to read them.

I can't talk unfortunately - I still have books like that...

And when do you normally want to do that?

Usually when I'm not able to sleep at night so having them on the bookcase upstairs means I don't risk terrifying the neighbours wandering around in my nightwear retriving them from downstairs since I almost never remember to close the curtains anywhere other than my bedroom.

Oh I have books like that but they're packed in boxes in my Dad's loft (insulation - honest) not on bookcases in my house and not when I've spent 9 years living in shoe box sized rooms wherever the army have sent me. Meh he's gone and I'm glad, just need to clear the rest of his presence from my home. Was interesting talking to someone who used to work with him this evening, they were surprised that a-I managed to put up with him so long, b - I seem to have a brain which most of his ex's apparently did not and c - I haven't been turned in to a gibbering alcoholic. I did wonder just how confused the poor soul was, but then remembered he only sees me occasionally when he's in my work place so doesn't know how well I hide the stupidness and alcoholic tendancies from the rest of the world. :)

    At least you're wearing nightwear.

I have mine in boxes in the back bedroom, because my parents didn't want any more loft insulation...

It's difficult to hide stupidness, as it requires a brain in order to do so. Which is most definately NOT what it says on the tin.

It would seem you have a fan there then...

I do tend to wear it, unless its particularly warm, but either way the trauma for most people would be too great.

Nah he's not a fan, just knows my ex quite well, and probably knows far more about him than I ever did - his colleague/friend on the other hand insisted on asking me out and couldn't quite get his head around the concept of not dating anyone from my work place - I naturally didn't mention the lovely one as that would invite more questions and hes a gossipy sod. There have been no sightings of said lovely one this weekend, other than what I think was him driving past me and waving walking out of the cafe with my mega breakfast Saturday morning - but at the time I was juggling two boxes of breakfast food and a portion of chips while climbing stairs so couldn't wave back or risk looking too closely at who was waving at me, but I'm fairly sure it was his car - black, right make, right model and right year on the number plate (and yes I know how stalkerish that sounds but I remember random stuff like that).

Next time you see him - get him asked. He's obviously that interesting.

I can't even remember the year on *my* numberplate...

  • Its not just him, its most of my customers I've seen in/around their cars, despite my not being in the slightest bit interested in cars I remember who drives what! But I agree I need to get him asked next time I see him (just not when my colleagues are stood next to me, or there are other customers in the queue!).

No sighting today so no chance to ask him.

I got home and took myself out for a run, only a short one, less than 1.5 miles but averaged 10.36 min/mile pace which is around 1 min/mile slower than the last time I ran such a short distance, but it'll do as the more I get myself out on my trainers the sooner I'll get myself back to where I was and then hopefully start to get quicker/increase the distances I run.

Took myself to Lidl on my way home from work to get some more iced tea, and while I was there picked up munchies - pretzels, veggie crisps and sweet popcorn as I think I have a friend coming round one evening this week.

I also just managed to hit the magic 17999SB target on swagbucks so have claimed the £100 cash to paypal option. If they pay it as quickly as last time I should have the money in paypal by next week so will be in the bank by the end of that week.
