Well you can watch crap telly...well not crap telly, but really crap telly. As in "I can't Believe That's Not Totally Talentless" or "Celebrity I've Never Heard Of Doing Weird Stuff to Get Their Face on the Telly"
Or you can decide to do things differently. Depends if you want to spend the time, or waste the time. The choice is yours.scubaangel wrote: »Also been asked to do two over time shifts this week, so thats some more lovely overtime on to Novembers pay.

Managed to sell the first of the items abandoned by the ex, £5 added to assorted change jars as a result.
Still slowly working down the pile of DVD's checking that they have all the appropriate discs, and the money I'd get for them from cex and music magpie - the difference is actually quite shocking, usually I'd get at least £1 more from cex!
More stuff pulled out of cupboards and drawers that I want to list on ebay and the selling pages, just the motivation to dust, photograph and list which is still missing! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

I know especially as I have three fairly big boxes of DVD's to get rid of! One box is priced up and organised, need to get the other two sorted over the weekend and print off the list to give to the girls at work.
Generated another bag of rubbish to put out on Monday - amazing how much stuff I've kept and don't see the point of anymore. Meanwhile the house just seems to be getting messier and messier! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

It will get better as your house empties and your bank account fills..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I hope so!
In the mean time I'm survived another week of work, the weekend ought to be fairly quiet - but hopefully not as quiet as last weekend! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

After months of saying I'm going to do it I have finally got my bike back in working order and took it out on a ride, did my not quite 5 mile running route on it. I'd forgotten just how much it makes your thighs hurt, how uncomfortable uneven paths are (on the upside if powerplates work surely the rattling over bumps will have the same effect?) and have discovered that only 2 of the gears work....might need to take it to be serviced if I can't talk one of the guys at work in to having a look at it for me.
I think I'm off for a bath now in hopes of minimising tomorrows aching - god knows what the more mucky minded of my friendly customers are going to have to say if I'm suffering tomorrow given they were absolutely on form today and I spent most of the morning bright red! It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Provided you're standing up. If you don't like standing up, get one of those racing "razor blade" saddles - then you will.scubaangel wrote: »and have discovered that only 2 of the gears work....
What's wrong with the rest?scubaangel wrote: »might need to take it to be serviced if I can't talk one of the guys at work in to having a look at it for me.
You may as well ask him to look at your bicycle too, if you're going that way...scubaangel wrote: »I think I'm off for a bath now in hopes of minimising tomorrows aching -
If it's really bad, it won't be tomorrow that it really aches, but the day after that.scubaangel wrote: »god knows what the more mucky minded of my friendly customers are going to have to say if I'm suffering tomorrow given they were absolutely on form today and I spent most of the morning bright red!

I was standing up, the saddle is old and no longer very padded! I may think about changing that at some point.
The rest of the gears appear to be disconnected from the gear changer levery things on the handle bars - an assumption bourne from the fact that there is no resistance to pushing the levery thingys and no accompanying change of chain location on the cogs, and if I try to use the third option on the other side it falls off the cogs completely
I meant the bike....
At the moment I don't think I'll be suffering too much, but who knows how I'll feel in the morning, at the moment am planning to cycle to work tomorrow lunchtime so my mate can take a look at the gear mechanism.
Hmm not so much getting told off for it but one of my friends is now seeking out a male plaything for me as apparently I told the other guys I was lacking one - am pretty sure what I said was I have no man right now, not find me one but meh, if it keeps my mate amused - so far he's suggested three guys who are regulars, two of whom are good friends of mine, and the third is gay. I suspect his attempts therefore will fail. It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

It sounds like the cable has snapped on the one side (or stretched badly) and the gate is in the wrong position on the other side.
What did you do to it woman?scubaangel wrote: »I meant the bike....
That's not a riposte! You should parry and thrust! With Abandon! **

Careful choice of words there...scubaangel wrote: »Hmm not so much getting told off for it but one of my friends is now seeking out a male plaything for me as apparently I told the other guys I was lacking one - am pretty sure what I said was I have no man right now, not find me one but meh, if it keeps my mate amused - so far he's suggested three guys who are regulars, two of whom are good friends of mine, and the third is gay. I suspect he'll be the one who ends up scoring if he carries on down that route... :rotfl:
