I don't know if it's just mine, but my daughters are just as bad. I've just watched one take the cellophane off a new DVD and drop it on the ground without a second thought, and I got a real 'get a life' look when I pointed it out. They both leave a trail of destruction wherever they go and wouldn't think to help me with jobs - however when I ask them they don't moan too much.0

I do ask, they do do but it would be nice for them to see it too and do it without me sounding like a mum:rotfl::heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

This is exactly why I let DH cook the Christmas meal because if I did it, I'd also be having to say 'is anyone laying the table' 'has anyone got the glasses out' 'what about the wine' and so on. This way Hubby cooks the meal and I do everything else and he doesn't need to ask anything.;)
Good move, I like that, very impressed with that the only thing with that would be in this house 'How long has the turkey got to be in for?' When shall I put the veg on? Do the potatoes have to be peeled? How do I make the gravy? Where are the chestnuts for the brussels? Where is the cranberry sauce? How do I make the batter for the yorkshires(yes we havethem also, kids love them with a roast and a xmas day is just a posh roast my OH tells me:rotfl::rotfl:0 -

My eldest came in before, he tried to take his shoes off on the mat, did not work so well so he left a trail of mud, brought his bike in did not lift it and the laminated floor has beads of water and bits of mud, he had to be shown it to agreed to clean it:rotfl: he took his jacket off and it did not go on the hook so it fell to the floor he left it, he went into the kitchen to make some toast, knife, marmite and butter all left out, I ask he puts away no probs, don't ask he leaves it0 -
Used knives & spoons left on the worktop, that's what I find annoying
Is it so hard to turn around and throw it into the sink like I do?

From a male point of view.
There is 6 living in our house including myself, 2 of which cant help, they're still babies.
I help as much as I can, without being asked. Though i'll admit I dont always see everything that my wife see's.
Our oldest, a boy, is completely oblivious to all around him. Getting him to clean himself is a major task let alone clean the house. Although our 11 girl is brill. She helps clean, often of her own accord and it great help with the little one's.
Some men wont help, and if like that they'll never change.0 -

Neither the sink or the dishwasher most of the time unless asked and what is the point of putting it in the sink if then you have to take it out and put it in the dishwasher? Double trouble:D0 -
I feel for you Victory! I share my house with FOUR adult males - I did absolutely everything for Christmas, bought cards, wrote cards, posted cards, told grandparents what everyone wanted for gifts, bought everyone's gifts from us, planned food and drinks, bought food and drinks, wrapped presents, put up the decorations, cleaned house from top to bottom. I work full-time by the way. So it got to the 23rd Dec and I still had a fair bit to do, cooking etc, but I thought sod it, I'm going out with my friends and I'm not coming back til the next morning, so that's what I did, still felt a bit guilty mind when the in laws came round looking forward to one of my mince pies and I hadn't made them yet!Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame

OH is a very good man,the kids are not so bad, just they cannot see what I see or don't want to and it does not faze them whereas I see it and want it done so ask and they do it , I could totally give in and not bother and do it all myself but that makes me a matyr and will not be like that, they do their share but have to have it pointed out to them one thing at a time, they are not shirkers as it were but have poor eyesight:rotfl::rotfl:0 -

I have made lists, there are reminders about, I have told them, asked them, allocated jobs, done all that but still they barely do a thing without being asked:rotfl:0
