    Hi everyone,

Please count me in! I've lost about 20lbs over the last year or so with little effort (just being happier with my life and thus not comfort eating!). But now i've come to a standstill and put a couple of lbs on over Christmas so I'm ready to get cracking and hopefully lose another couple of stone this year.

My biggest challenge will be cutting back on the chocolate, i'm a real chocaholic!!

I've got the Zumba for Wii (the first one) and well...by the end of the beginner 20 minute class I am exhausted! It really is a great work out (if you make yourself do it properly, you can of course cheat the game and just wiggle the controller in your hands and it thinks your doing all the moves perfectly!) It does get a little repetetive also but I'm sure classes are a lot better because they are set to different songs all the time. There are a few instructors on youtube who post their routines so you could try and copy them, the same way you do with the game if you wanted to.

I've got the Zumba for Wii (first one) also and I also have Ubisoft My Fitness Coach - Dance Workout. They are both good, the My Fitness Coach game also includes Boxercise style workouts, some of which aren't as exhausting, yet still get you sweating and heart beating faster - it also counts calories as you go.

Wow - sounds like you had a brilliant year!

It is very difficult when you reach that "plateaux" isn't it! I love chocolate too - when I try to loose weight I just keep trying to associate chocolate with lard, disgusting I know but it has helped :D

I have already fallen off the wagon!!! I was so set to be really really good today but it has all gone wrong  (It was the not being able to do anything until the girls got up and that wasn't until 10.30!!!)

Anyway, this is my daughters last day before going back to school, so I have decided to start properly tomorrow - I will be trying my very hardest - wish me luck!

I did have a pretty good year, I started it in a job I was happy with and a lovely new OH. Problem is that he moved in in September and we've been together a year now so I've relaxed and stopped trying to hide that fact that I'm a total foodie, infact I've even managed to turn him into a biscuit fiend too :rotfl:

I might try that! My problem is every time I sit down with a cup of tea (thats about 10times a day!) I could just go a nice biscuit or a chocolate bar, some how tea and fruit just doesnt do it for me :D

  • I'd like to join too please?
Am shocked at currently weighing 12st 2lb....the heaviest I've EVER been
All my own fault, probably put on at least half a stone since beginning of December !!!

Anyway, another good tip is my fitness pal, an app for your phone. You can enter how many calories you need per day to get the loss you want, what you eat and the exercise you do, it works it all out and even gives you a nice graph of calories consumed and used, and of your weight.

    Good luck everyone x
  • Did my start weigh in this morning - 155lbs.

Am very annoyed with myself as I was 144lbs in November - have gone crazy lately with junk food

    Well, onwards and downwards

  • Start weight........em:o 145lb. Anyone was in the December challenge will know this is a 4 lb increase from my last reported weight:eek: I am cross with myself after all the effort to get it off in the first place. Back at work at 7.45am this morning and have bought a pile of work back for tonight....feeling shattered..so much for my plans to exercise every evening.
Enough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D
