Hello all, and a very Happy New Year!

I'm starting at 66.4 kg today, 10 stone 6 and something. But it's below 10 1/2 so not too bad. I also know there's still 'food in transit' because I haven't 'been' properly this morning.

Shorelines, if you were to ditch the items you mentioned, crisps etc, that on its own would make a huge difference. Just eat good healthy food and stop when you've had enough.

Going to church this morning wearing my new coat, size 14, haven't been that size since the early 1980s.

    Good luck to all!

Ooh can I join in? I really need some motivation to lose about a stone and a half. I've put on weight and now am sporting a rather lovely muffin top  so I've decided to ditch the crisps, chocolate, cheese and my vice...the coca-cola! Any wonder I've put on weight?? My starting weight is 9st 12lbs.

    Happy new year all!
Got you shorelines (and would have welcomed you yesterday but was having a party on the NSD thread :rotfl:), hmm shall we say I am glad the festive food is no more in this household (mind you I stayed the same in December :) and as I say lost 25 pounds over the year )

Thanks margaretclare! I'm pretty determined this time. I usually snack at work at my desk, so I'm going to have to think of healthier snacks to have. I'm aiming to have porridge for breakfast instead of pastries or sandwiches so that should fill me up.

Thanks Dragon, hoping this thread will keep me motivated. Although I'll have to exercise more which means less time on MSE

Plans for today, make a batch of soup and go for a walk. Have a good day everyone!
    :hello:

Hi Dragon, please can you add me back. After losing some weight for my wedding (though not quite as much as I'd have liked to) it all piled back on afterwards. My diet went to pot coupled with injuri and illness which meant I couldn't go to the gym or do my zumba classes. Have a hospital appointment on the 9th so hoping I'll be able to get back to classes, and Santa brought me a Wii fit so if I can get back exercising that will help a lot.
    My sw is 157lbs :(

Is there a reliable source to find out how many calories things such as walking burn?

I read if I walk 2.5 miles an hour I will burn about 4cals a min, is this right?
  • Can I join please :) Only lost 1lb last month so my start weight is 155lbs.

    Thank you :D
