May I join as well? I have loads to lose and am aiming for 4 stone in 2012 - so 1/2 a stone a month will keep me focussed.
I follow the sw diet so have made myself a pan of syn free soup - its a good start on this dull and dreary day!

It seems quite a few of us are going to be following SW to some extent - maybe we could post low-syn / syn-free recipes / ideas for meal plans etc? Not loads, as I know this isn't a SW thread, but I find the food I'm used to making on SW is really good and ideal for anyone just trying to eat healthily too. Also a bonus if anything was particularly cheap to make!
One of my favourites is fried eggs (done in fry light) with SW chips (chop potatoes into chips or wedge shapes, par-boil, spray baking tray with fry light, put chips on, spray them with fry light, bung in the oven for about 20-30 mins) Lovely - feels like a real treat, and you can have it with baked beans and bacon with the fat cut off - one of my best 'can't believe I can eat this and still lose weight' meals.
No worries if not, just thought it could be useful......
Good luck everyone

Dragon I am back with a vengeance! I weighed myself yesterday and I was 13 stone exactly. This time last year I was 13 stone 9 lbs so last year wasn't a complete write off!
I even went and bought some weights from the argos sale to start me on the right track!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
I like the idea of sharing recipes if that's ok with everyone else here - I sometimes browse the other threads and forums, especially OS but it would be nice to have a 'current' one without going years back. Plus I'm a useless cook and that's another of my NY resolutions! Am currently making the giant jaffa cake for some friends coming round later, found the recipe on here, manages to mess it up already it seems!! :rotfl:
Still plucking up courage to weigh myself... I know I don't particularly have lots to lose but clothes are tighter and I'm off on a trek later in the year so I really need to be fitter and trimmer!

Can I join in- I have TRIPLE figures to lose in 2012 (going for 100lbs) - although Im not sure how much I weigh (weighing myself tues am when diet starts). I think I weigh about 17 stone, and Im the biggest I've ever been- by loads, so its time I did something about it. Would be nice to get a stone in Jan but we'll see

£20 a day May 2014 £108.45/£6000 -
Can I join too please? I go to SW, but I need all the encouragement I can get. Plus 7lbs is a do-able target for a month.
