Grilled some mini chicken fillets and mushrooms on the old George Foreman grill, cooked some spaghetti, mixed them together with a couple of handfuls of spinach, tablespoon of extra light Philadelphia and a teaspoon of green pesto. Ended up with a lovely cheesy, herby pasta dish that was gorgeous and reminded me of the pesto pollo dish from pizza express but like half the calories!
Oh sounds lovely we always have pesto & philly around I'll have to remember this thank you

Well done pierced princess! Go you!
And teachergirl.. science... I can imagine you must need eyes at back of head... I'm MFL and somehow I need to watch them like a hawk too... especially yr 8. What is wrong with yr 8 lately? Crazy!
Anyway... finally did some exercise. Did 20 mins on treadmill, 15 of which brisk power walking, 5 hard core jogging :T then another 10 mins on exercise bike. Would have done longer as planning to go to Zumba... Zumba then get's cancelled. NM, going for jog with friends in the am.
Still on the healthy food... had salad for lunch again and had some lovely roasted veg and chicken this eve... Made sure I ate the veg off the plate before which resulted in the miracle of only eating 2 roast potatoes... how does that happen? Who can leave roasties on a plate?? Feeling smug now!
Here's hoping the weekend doesn't provide too much temptation... avoiding chocolate cravings by having a hot chocolate drink mixed up without milk (or Baileys!!) like I usually do!

I normally weigh in on Sunday but I'm at my Dad's over night (and too impatient to wait for Monday) so hopped on today. I've lost 2.4 lbs :jso far (which is particularly good seeing as this is basically half a week as I had no access to my scales until Wednesday).
Now I just need to try and make sure I don't go mad on food when I'm with my Dad, we're going out for lunch, and knowing them dinner will probably include chips - then cooked breakfast in the morning because it'll be a Sunday:rotfl:.0 -
Fracturedsun, you don't HAVE to eat chips!
We had lunch at a Little Chef last Monday, I wanted a cheese and ham omelette and I was offered chips or a jacket potato. I didn't want either. 'No thank you' is easy to say, and it gets easier with practice.
We've had a cooked breakfast today. In fact, we have one most days - yesterday was 2 slices of grilled bacon and a grilled tomato on wholemeal bread. Today we had mushrooms and fried egg on wholemeal bread. We don't eat breakfast cereals any more - most of them are too high in sugar. DH keeps a packet of bite-sized shredded wheat in case he needs a snack before going to bed so that his blood-sugar doesn't go too low in the night. They're almost the only ones without added sugar or salt.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

I haven't stopped eating chips and I lost two stone last year. Everything is fine in moderation.0

Is anyone else going to get the Daily Mail just for the WW suppliment? AM thinking about it not cos im doing WW at the mo, just because inspiration for meals is key when trying to loose weight (cant have soup for lunch and Jacket Potato for dinner EVERY day)
Just wondered if anyone had nabbed it already and wanted to give a reveiw??I Love My Library....when I finish/don't like a book, no one gets upset when I return it!Starting 2107lbs this month = 5.5Total loss = 5.5Too many UFOs to count:EasterBun0 -

Oh I know but they just sit there and look like food.... the only way I have been sucessfully able to control what I eat is to control what is available to eat. For example if there's crisps in the house then I will eat them, saying just one or two of something always ends in disaster too.
I really need to work on it. Wish me luck this weekend I am going to practice *whispers it* moderation:eek:. I'm pretty certain that if I can ever get it down then I'll never have a weight problem again.0
