Thank youu!! I will re-read my 6.28 and have it in front of me too (as suggested by OR also)
I do not have any bank stements or anything like that, will the OR take a dim view of this? I'm not hiding anything per se, as the reasons for debt were put on the 6.28. But surely he'll be able to get copies if he wants? Won't he?
I also put down I did some (very small compared to the debt) gambling (Feb 2010) so was JUST within the 2 years. He said he will ask more questions about this. Do you have any idea what these might be, just so I can prepare?

No they won't take a dim view about not having bank statements they can get these themselves. Just be honest about the gambling, where when and this really shouldn't be a problem......unless it was a cause of your BR.

Deep breath's for friday and you will be fine dfub ;)

  • Hi All,

thinking about going BR this month after 3 years of trying to clear my debts. I have 4k in savings which is not enough to clear any of my debts or even offer. My question is can i spend this cash before my BR and if so what kind of expenditure wouldn't be frowned upon or reversed by the official receiver?

Day to day living, rent deposit or essential goods, anything else like holidays etc could land you in trouble with the OR.

You've got me worried now! When i had my call with the CCCS and they were helping me fill out 6.28, the guy told me to put down £20 a month for holidays/trips for each member of the family. As there are 3 of us he said to put down £60!!! :(

He said the OR won't allow "entertainment/hobby" expenditure but he said weirdly they do allow the holiday money?!

I have yet to hear anything from the OR since monday.

I wasn`t referring to an SOA but a lump sum that the poster was asking what they could do with it before going BR.
