This club is for everyone who has gone or going through the process of Bankruptcy during January 2012. So please feel free to join and post.

Pop your name on here, the date that you went Bankrupt and the stage that you are at now in your Bankruptcy. And then just keep everyone in the club updated throughout the next year about your journey through Bankruptcy. That way we can all stick together and compare notes and we will be there to support each other throughout the different stages in our Bankruptcy.

Remember this is your board so keep posting.

Obviously anyone can come on here and post anything that will help us all and you are all welcome. Any important questions that do need answering are maybe still better posted on the main board but if you do put it on here, then maybe we can help each other.

Hopefully it will be an extra place for friendship and support as we compare notes and discuss what is happening with our Bankruptcies.

Hi Highland_Lassie and Welcome to January's BR Club, Dojoman will add your name to the front page. It does take a while for the stress of it all to eventually fall off your shoulders but it will and it really will be onwards and upwards from now on

well its official, as of today i am bankrupt! i was expecting it to be a lot more painfull at the hearing to day but it was only 2 hours, 1hr 55 mins waiting and 5mins with the judge!

also received a phonecall from the official receiver (5mins) to check a few things out, now they are going to call back in two weeks to go through everything? should i be worried about this?

Hi carnut2chris and Welcome to the Jan BR Club, Dojoman will add your name to the front page. I'm pleased it went well and hope your having a drink tonight :beer:

The Phone call is nothing to worry about, its just for the OR to get a feel why you went BR. Before the call just look through your 6.28/SOA so your familiar with what you have said. If you have not sent off your bank/credit statements have them to hand. The OR will just go through your 6.28/SOA with you. Also before the call have a big mug of tea ready or a bottle of water, and while they are writing things down you can have sips of tea/water, so you don't feel you have to fill in the pauses. And if you don’t know the answer to a question just say so. Do have a list with all questions ‘you’ want to ask. Can last an hour and a half.

Hi all, went to court today with ready to go BR. I was told I could not as I did not have enough proof of income. I brought the three months bank statements as my advisor told me, but I did not know I needed other forms of evidence for a remission of fee cost. I felt devastated as I had built myself up for weeks to this day. I think by the time I get the p/w they have asked for I will be in the Feb BR Club .
