Well just had my OR interview! Phew, I feel so relieved :-)
It lasted just under 15 minutes, and he was very nice.
He had no problems us keeping both cars & didn't have any issues with our mobiles or sky.
I can't describe how elated I feel right now! Thanks to everybody on this forum for their help :-)0 -
Well done, glad it went well for you:):pB&SC No. 298

Hi watcher27, well done, I'm glad that's over for you!
I'm just a newbie but going to court next week and worried about OR interview - so thanks for posting (and thanks to Arrowarras too), it's encouraging to see when things go well.
Best of luck to you for a happy future,

Hi there,
Joined the "club" January 23rd, and feeling sick to my boots. Was forced into this situation by creditor - another case of 'head in the sand' on my part. Spoke to OR yesterday and he is writing to me to make a face to face appointment - by the end of the month he said.
Self-employed, no assets and looks likely I will have to make an IPA - going to mock up an SOA and see what it looks like. Feel ridiculously nervous and shell shocked for a supposed grown wordly wise man ...! I feel like I have suddenly been kicked out of evryone elses 'normal' world ....
Anyway, my first post, and I am glad to at least have some comfort being able to talk amongst fellow BR's ... doesn't make us bad people I suppose ... unfortunate victims of circumstance I keep saying to myself. But hey it still hurts ...0 -
Hi ColdStar,
I'm glad you've found the forum, keep reading and posting on here and it really will help you.
I do the deed next week  and am very nervous, but I've found that those outsider feelings are already wearing off thanks to this site, and in fact I'll be part of a worry and debt-free world soon (touch wood!) with a fresh start to come. It will be hard to manage but so much better than the stress of robbing peter to pay paul.
Best of luck and good wishes to you

Thanks Dojoman, although "thanks" seems quite an odd thing to say in a way ...!!
Forced myself to try and get a bit organised; rang the Co-op bank today to open a Cashminder account and it all sailed through without any problem. The very helpful young lady (well sounded young anyway) gave me an application number, and now I just have to go into a branch and show some ID - passport and ultility bill. Off to do that now. She said account would be open by next Monday. So I feel good about that,
I have a slight worry regarding my current Barclays accounts in as much that the OR said I wasn't to use them, but I had to get fuel, tyres for the car, and pay an electricity bill. I emailed him about this, explaining that I hope I hadn't done anytghing wrong, and he said that it wasn't a problem as long as I got receipts.
I notice this morning, that my online banking shows other transactions after the BR date, but are where monies paid have taken time to appear.
I also drew out some cash to pay for living allowable expenses, as an interim, expecting my Barclays acount to be frozen, and to tie me over on basic expenditure until the Co-op account is up and running. I am hoping that as long as I account for using the cash for legitimate living/business expenses, that the OR won't class my actions as having serious implications for me.
I am not trying to do anything 'tricky', just trying to "carry on". I need fuel to visit my work clients, and the timing of this has been so quick.
I didn't have any time to "plan" for this. I did not appear at Court, and had sent a letter requesting an adjournment so that I could prepare a Statement of Means and hopefully come to an agreement with the Creditor. I thought (hoped) that the Court would allow this. The next thing I knew was the notice of bankruptcy arriving on the doormat, closely followed by the telephone call from the OR. So it was all a bit sudden really, and I wasn't really sure of the implications or "do's" and "don'ts". Bit worried now that my account shows transactions after the BR date, and that I could be in trouble ...?
I have not yet received a letter from him, that he said he was going to send, or an interview date. It may arrive later on today I guess.
Not sure I should post the ongoing saga here or in a new thread ... so please move if required ...0
