    Hi im Drew
was declared bankrupt on 10th Jan 2012 thanks for a great thread only wish I had found this before.
There has been some great advice. It wasn't half as bad as I was expecting, think the hardest was waiting from mid Dec till the 10th Jan, had my call from the OR and did interview over the phone two days later, paperwork in the post and returned last week all that is to come now is 10th Jan 2013 :)

Hi Drew and welcome to the Jan BR Club, Dojoman has added your name to the front page

I'm pleased the forum is helping and remember this is your thread now to help and support other BR's here.

Let us know how your your OR interview goes and remember it's nothing to worry about, its just for the OR to get a feel why you went BR. Before the call just look through your 6.28/SOA so your familiar with what you have said. If you have not sent off your bank/credit statements have them to hand. The OR will just go through your 6.28/SOA with you. Also before the call have a big mug of tea ready or a bottle of water, and while they are writing things down you can have sips of tea/water, so you don't feel you have to fill in the pauses. And if you don’t know the answer to a question just say so. Do have a list with all questions ‘you’ want to ask. Can last an hour and a half.

Have a read of Arrowarras thread it will help, with your nerves too.

  • I recieved a call two days after being declared bankrupt as the OR wanted to ask for some documents but as she was talking she received my paperwork and we did the interview there and then was great she was really helpful, she said she would send me some more paperwork to sign and as far as she was concerned there would be no further need for another interview unless something popped up.
I received the paper work and a large envelope to return everything to her about a week later and its all been sent back so unless she finds something or someone challenges she said that was it i would be discharged in twelve months time or occasionally it happens sooner.
So im now focusing on getting things sorted like bank account as I lost my nationwide account and sorting out life

  • HI guys, I think tomorrow is the day they release the total bankruptcy figures for 2010. Wonder if it'll be another record breaking year?
