Good morning all,
Hello & Welcome to nannygladys :hello:
lovely to have you here & I hope you enjoy yourself.
My new undies & joe browns dress arrived this week, all fit perfectly & are just lovely so I'm very happy with my spends - especially as the undies were with gift money so that doesn't count. Of course Joes then sent me an email to show me their new line, BUT there's nothing that appeals there. At the moment ...
Nice work there short_bird :T I'm impressed.
I confess to having 'watched' a few items on ebay - the hunt for the long brown cardi continues, but I've not placed any bids yet. Again, the pertinent word is 'yet' :rotfl:
I've never bought shoes from a charity shop but have donated plenty that were in fab condition & wouldn't have any issues with buying some. I tend to clean any shoes I buy anyway - brand new or otherwise, just a wipe rounds the insides with an antibacterial wipe sets my mind at ease.
No shopping for me this weekend, DD is going to town with friends, but getting lifts from other parents so I can avoid all temptation0 -
sold something and then bought the kids 2 jumpers off a next selling page, i do prefer next clothes and keep adding stuff to my basket on the site then closing it, it's not often i see cheap next clothes in older sizes so figured i'd snap them up, it evened out and in the end only cost me 50p
i've decided to buy myself another shirt, i'm not keen on the one i bought so need a new one, found a nice one on ebay for £12 which i will get in a week or soDEC GC £463.67/£450

Just popped on to report my Monsoon returns. £25 back in my bank but I did end up keeping the skirt as I think I'll wear it loads. In fact wore it today with a sweater I found of my DD's that she had put out for the charity shop. It's lovely and fits perfectly. A River*sland one in a vintage fitted style in a lovely teal colour. Tried loads of things on in town today but bought Zero:j. Though I was awfully tempted...
Regarding charirty shop shoes I have bought several from carboots, including brand new ones and lovely vintage 80's green suede boots that had obviously been worn. As long as you're comfortable with that I don't think there's any problem and as long as you use your common sense you can see and smell what is okayGrocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)

Thank you to those who gave advice re charity shop shoes. Went into 5 or 6 charity shops today but didn't buy anything. I've lost weight, want to lose more and didn't really know which size to look for. Disappointing in a way - but at least I didn't spend any money!0

I can't believe it's almost the end of january and I still haven't bought anything. I'm still losing weight and will try and hang on as long as possible without buying anything. But I'm going on holiday in March for my Birthday so will want to buy a fabulous dress for then and maybe a new coat...of course will peruse ebay to start with and see what I can find!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

There's been a slight downward adjustment to my spending as I returned some of my Phase Eight order, but found a pretty dress for £13 in Primark which I should have resisted...but didn't :rotfl:
My French Connection order which I bought using PayPal funds from eBay sales was a bit of a damp squib too, I only kept one top which cost £15. The challenge starts in earnest now, and I know it's going to be really, really hard...but I've just got to stay out of the shops.:o0 -
NGlady has bought the rucksack I am suck I had my eyes on! Although as I dont need one I am keeping an eye for the sale0

I love this challenge! Please can I join? Put me down for £400 for the year. I will be doing the children's separately, and three of them will need new school uniforms this year, plus have all shot up dramatically! I think I will be budgeting £300 for each of them, that's to include everything including school uniforms.
I will be trying to eBay as much as possible on top of this to hopefully get some items for free, ie, I sell something and use that money to buy something else, this should help:)November NSD's - 70 -
