  • well a small spend to report £3.50 for a camisole which is necessary to wear under a top I already have. I did end up looking at other stuff but managed to resist the temptation.

I am also having a freedom day today which feels great!!! very pleased about these freedom days and thoroughly recommend them :)

Got some stuff to go on ebay soon which i hope will recoup some of my budget back again.

PLeased to read everyones contributions on here - its great that everyone is so supportive and great to share ideas.

    Happy saving :)

i've packed up the two dresses sold on ebay and have just realised i've misjudged the postage! I'm loosing out on 46p! flipping gutted! Thats my postage costs upped! Thought i was being abit greedy charging £3 each but with the cost of the packet at 75p and 1st class postage £2.46ish. the sums just dont add up. Still no spends on clothes so i'm pleased with that!

postage is a pain which is why I stopped selling books with greenmet as you only get £3 a book and dont have a camera so ebay no use to me(plus got conned a few times buying from ebay :mad::mad::mad:)
did another wardrobe shop for clothes for work today....black/white print skirt i usually wear in summer with black tights and boots a black t shirt and white shrug...would have put with black leather jkt and big red bag for drama!!!!BUT it was soooooo cold I ended up with red walking zip up ....also cold in work as sat for 3 hours in a room with a thermostat but no rads???????
hoping phase eight parcel will arrive today so will confess spand later!

Hey ladies! No spends to declare, but im interested (I think) on your comments about buying from charity shops. I don't think by any means that I'm a snob, but I have just NEVER thought about buying second hand clothes. I dont have a problem wearing my friends or mums second hand clothes so its not that I think hand-me downs are bad. but the thought of not knowing its history makes me feel a bit squemish! are there loads of bargains to have and so I should get over it?

well my phase eight parcel arrived(love it that with some firms you can check when stuff will arrive) and the good news is I saved £163.:j:j:j:j:jer ok so I had to spend £89 so now only got £411 left
    BUT they were such bargains.
1/ a black full skirt down from £85(I know I would never pay full price) to £39 still a bit expensive but have loved it since it 1st came out and the different colours on it mean lots of stuff to wear with it.

2/ a black lace skirt again full style that I will wear for dancing again with different tops.£69 down to £20

3/ a grey Channel style knitted jacket down from £99 to £29,it feels so soft and comfortable and again will go with lots of colours.
I am going to throw some stuff from the wardrobe to make space esp a grey cardi that I have had for years and fallen out of love with, only keeping as no sub for it but now I have so it can go:).

as well as clothes we are having a revamp in the house, having decorated DS2 and 3s rooms into spare rooms our room (last done about 20 years ago) looks decidedly tatty so thinking of a complete change of style for it:)

just thought I had some quidco back (£7.62)so do I take that off the spend and what about the postage?(£2.95) do I add that?

  • That's why underwear, jewellery and shoes aren't in my budget!! I can spend what I want on thise - but mainly because that isn't a problem, it's the clothes that get me!

They are all my problem :rotfl:

My underwear drawer is so full at the minute I have to leave some of my bras on the clothes horse because they don't all fit in at once!! And unbelievably, I didn't have a nice pair of black heels amongst my many many shoes as I have taken to wearing flats everywhere.

The remaining £32 is going to stay intact for as long as possible!
