I just need to not buy anything until I have sorted out what I already have... And as I am really lazy that could be months!0
-
I think its becoming evident that sales are bad for our budgets
i often find i buy things i dont really need just becuz they are reduced - so im staying out of the shops at the moment.
Someone else mentioned workwear above - and I wondered if anyone has any ideas of what to wear for interviews? suits/smart casual?
any budget ideas for that?
best wishes, moggy

For interviews I wear smart black trousers (I got my last pair from M&S for less than £15), Matalan do short and long sleeved plain tops in a range of colours for about £4 each and I have a smart black jacket (my sister gave it to me, so not sure on cost for that.) I usually wear a black pair of shoes (last pair was from New Look for about £18) and add some colour with a scarf from Primark for a couple of pounds! Personally I would rather look 'too' smart for an interview, rather than the potential employer thinking I hadn't made the effort.0 -
£10.50 spent, I went to the supermarket in a misery this morning, and tried a lot of sale stuff on, but thankfully most of it wasn't quite right! So I have bought myself a new bra (cream, so will go nicely under light coloured tops... I know "nude" colours are better for that, but they look so horrid on my skin when the top layers come off... and we wouldn't want that
) for £4, a pretty pair of knickers which don't quite match but are very pretty anyway for £2.50 and four pairs of socks for £4. Hopefully the new bra will free up some lighter tops, as I've been limping along with the old blue one, which shows a bit...
So on £10.50/£300, £289.50 left

I would love to join this, but I didn't spend more than about £40 last year on clothing... And that's without trying! I get given bagfuls of clothes from a good friend who is a bit of a shopaholic, so I rarely need to buy anything. Good luck to the rest of you though!0

Hello! I did this a couple of years ago with success, then tried to do it on my own in 2011 and failed miserably!
Please put me up for £200 plus any ebay, voucher, surveys, cash gifts received!! Doesn't include shoes or underwear - but that does NOT mean I can go crazy on those!!!
Have resisted sales so far...!
Thanks! xVirtual Sealed Pot Challenge #148 - £59.93
