Hi, this is the first time I have seen this challenge - quite a newbie to this site. Can I join please? I want/need some new brown boots - not really new as in - don't already have any - only black ones. I will set a £250 budget but want to come in a lot under!

The lovely fedupandskint introduced us all the 'Freedom Clothes' last year, whereby we liberate something from the dark recesses of the wardrobe & wear it regardless. Sometimes it turns out to be a horror, other times it's a joyful revelation :)

Now where is she ..... ?

    ........................I'm here!

Oh, I'm lovely am I? Oh yes I am! Anyway back to why I'm here. I'm signing back up again. This kept me on track better than ever before and worked a treat last year. My budget last year was £250 and this year I'm keeping it the same

    £250 for 2012 please

what do I need for 2012? More dresses and skirts please and some skinny jeggings or jeans. Have some boots or order but need to see if these fit first plus they will come out of this year's budget.

    Freedom days - GREAT!!!

Last week I wore a dress I bought 2yrs ago from fleabay and had never worn. Worn last week on one of the mild days and it was freed!

Freedom philosophy - check what you have in your wardrobe. See what you wear. Look at what you don't wear. Why don't you wear it? Is it because it doesn't fit? Is it because you just got out of the habit of wearing it as you wore the same things over and over and you bought things and put them in the wardrobe with the tags on never to see the light of day again?

Freedom days worked like this. Aim for a freedom day a week or a fortnight or start off with a Freedom day a month.

I did it and then got into the habit of wearing what was in the wardrobe to wear it. Result huh!

What else, I was a little fearful now because I didn't want anyone to comment on what I was wearing as I wanted to blend into the walls and the background. Then as I got more used to wearing different things I wasn't bothered at all what anyone said about it.

I started off by reintroducing some jewellry and took it from there and then got into the habit of introducing a new item of clothing to wear to work, then at weekends and took it from there as more items were liberated from the wardrobe!

    Good luck everyone :D

    Evening all

I feel like I am cheating a little bit hearring all your fantastic targets - if I could cope for a year on £100 i would be so amazed lol. So im not going to pretend I will be able to cope on that, as I would fail - so here goes:

£1000 to include EVERYTHING. I don't wear a uniform to work, so I have to buy new clothes for that etc, includes underwear/socks etc, includes shoes/boots which iv got a bit of an addiction to lol, includes dresses etc. Everything.

Also need a good tidy out of my present clothing and generally start a fresh by D:day

    D:Day = day I start my target: 1st January :)

  • I'll have a go! I'm on a DMP and have a budget of £40 pm for myself and DD, so I guess I'll go with that! Which works out to be £480 Could be a bit interesting though as DD starts school in Sept, I will be looking out for bargains ;)

    Thanks :)
  • Good evening all,

This is me signing up to my first challenge officially. Can you please set my target at £500 for the whole year. The only reason this is so high is OH and I are off on a dream holiday this year, and as it will be our first ever holiday abroad I will have to branch out into swimwear / shoes / sunglasses etc etc.

  • Please can I join in too? Have only just found this wonderful site! :o
I was going to challenge a friend to do a similar thing in 2012 but think this is much better as there will be more support. Unfortunately I am a spendaholic, so am setting my budget at £500 (like someone else on the forum it will be half it was last year, thus the HUGE credit card bill I am trying to pay off!)
