Debbiedeejay - the way you have arranged your clothes sounds like a great idea makes it a lot easier to resist the temptation of always wearing the same 5 outfits!
I have managed to pick up and put down clothes in the sales and so far am still at £0. I have lost 6lbs this week so its all going in the right direction to fitting on some more of the clothes I already have. :j
Great idea ladies about raiding the library for Trinny and Susannah esque books for new ideas of how to wear what I have :money:0 -
I have been looking at sewing patterns online today for the perfect straight forward skirt pattern as I have various bits of vintage fabric to make me some "new" skirts and can't quite decide which one to go for. I want it to be simple so I can make it with quite patterned fabric that I can wear with just a plain top. I was also checking out amazon looking at books and now I'm totally confuzzled as to what to go for.:o
I know it's a bit off topic but I was wondering which sites you were looking at for patterns? I have got a few clothes that don't fit any more but I'd like to try and use the fabric to make something new rather than buy something new. I did google for some patterns but got a bit overwelmed by it all!!

Sealed Pot Challenge #1505

Oh dear
One day since I joined this challenge and I have to 'fess up to a purchase . This doesn't look good for the rest of the year!
I did pay a whole £10 for a navy coat from New L**k which is to wear to my brothers wedding next month. I did know I was going to get a new coat for this so its a planned spend and a bargain!
So £90 to last me the next 363 days then.
I did empty out my wardrobe this morning and put everything back in a seasonal order so that I can actually see all my work jumpers instead of summer tops. That should stop me wearing the same 5 jumpers in a row! I also found a pair of black linen trousers still with the tags on that I had forgotten buying. No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018

Just realised I still haven't claimed my rebate back for having to wash my own work uniform for the past 3 years! Whatever cash I get back from that I will add to this challenge I think!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

Result! just been given a bag of clothes from my cousin, so these should keep me going for a while and keep baby bump a secret for a bit longer - til its safe to tell everyone!
I like the idea of "freeing" stuff from the wardrobe so I'm going to give this a try in the next few weeks or until I can fit them!
I have a satin dress that I bought for a christmas night out a few years ago - any ideas to make it less Christmassy for my work? I work in an office.Debt Free Roll of Honor #598

2 spends today
One was a bright orange/red tunic jumper dress thing from Mr T for £14 - to replace my similar coloured cowl neck jumper which has really seen better days after 4yrs. I've repaired it, stitched it back up and finally the colour is fading. The new one is more or less the same colour if not a bit brighter! Anyway it means as its longer it goes better with my newly freed up jeggings that now fit me.
Second one was a reduced tuxedo jacket from the M+S sale to halfprice. Thought £16 was a good price for it and I've wanted a 'going out' jacket for quite a while. Should go with quite a few things and last a long time
So that's £30 spent now and £220 left for the year!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Hi All
Can I join in please? This should be an interesting challenge for me as I used to spend ridiculous amounts of money on clothes when my wardrobe is already bursting at the seams! Will be a good test of my willpower - budget for me is £200

Well good news / bad news from me. Good news is that I still haven't broken into my budget, the bad news is that I added up what I spent (adding in some rough numbers for purchases I know I made but seem not to have made it into the spend diary) and it's deff more than I thought, prob by about £150, which isn't a huge amount on the scale of my spend, but quite a lot when my budget for the year is £500. Funny thing is, there's only about 5 stores I seem to regularly buy from looking at the list, and I deff spend more in Primarni that I would have thought (though some of that was prob spends for OH too). Really do need to sort out my wardrobes too, still haven't put away / decided what I'll keep from my sales shopping.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
