I got one of those from Wilko's for about a quid and I think it's fab - so much faster than taking the little fluffballs off by hand or with sticky tape.

    Thanks i've ordered one.

Jeans i put on this morning are far to long my mum gave me them, but there soaking cause they drag on the ground so i've had to get changed already, so once there washed and dried i'm gonna take them up abit.

  • I spent £8 yesterday getting some jeans taken up so that I'll actually wear them - I've had them for at least a year but they were too long and annoyed me! I usually take trouser hems up myself but can't do jean hems so left that to the professionals ;).

I feel good about this challenge as we are halfway through the year and I've spent just over half my budget :) which is just about right :).

  • I have spent 80% of my budget  but that was mainly due to a wedding in February so I am fairly confident for the rest of the year.

I had a freedom day today, I got out one of my summer skirts, a grey tiered one which I love :) but haven't worn for a couple of years mainly due to the weather (and because I always forget to sort out my legs, today they were hair free but dazzlingly white)

I tried on all my skirts at the weekend and was pleasantly surprised that they all still fit, I was sure I had put on weight but I seem to have got away with it! I am trying to start running so today I also spent a £5 (not from my budget though) on a belt thing to put my housekeys and ipod in because they never put pockets in sporty clothes. Anything to stop me making excuses to not go out and exercise :D

The pound shops usually have money belts or b*m bags, wouldn't vouch as to their durability though. I bought quite a posh b*m bag to get free postage on a handbag I wanted (it seemed logical at the time) and it has served me well.

Have spent £60 of my £100, nothing else needed this year, apart from something which I will be lucky to get for £40 - a winter coat. Though I can make do with what I have till January sales, I guess.

Feeling so cheated that I can wear so little of my summer wardrobe at the moment. Especially as some of my precious £100 went on summer tops and a pair of shorts. C'est la vie, I expect you are the same.

Just bought 3 new tops for work in bhs sale as I'm beginning to feel a frump in my baggy "fitted" blouses that no longer look fitted. Another £29 to confess to...

£13 today for a hat from Accessorize - only summer thing I've bought so far, have been wearing old stuff even though it will probably be the last year I can get out of the sandals. Pleased with the hat as I wanted one for walking and just weekends, and the other floral one doesn't work with everything.

So total practically halfway through the year is at £219, a little less than halfway through budget.

sorry to go on about phase eight BUT have now got the rest of the refund BUT when i say the rest that is not quite true:mad:i used a card that said spend £80 and get £20 off(I have since thrown it away)BUT had not realised that the £20 would be divided between the items I bought so that when I returned some I would then lose some of the £20 even though i had still spent over £80:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:how unfair is this???????

Rosemary54, glad you managed to get it all refunded, annoying about the £20 off though. I'd have thought if the total of clothes you kept was £80+ they'd knock it off.

My best friend is getting married in August and hoping I'll have not lost too much more weight by then so I can wear the Star dress I got in Debs sale for my birthday. Already got cardi and sandals to go with it, just need somehing pretty for my hair :)
