Hi all, just a quick note, have worked flat out for the last few days so not had a moment to post. I have only bought a pair of sandals in the last 7 days. This must be the longest time I have gone without buying anything. I suspect my original budget was unrealistic. This however, does not give me carte blanche to wreak havoc in the shops. I shall re-do the sums whilst continuing to chuck unwanted or unwearable stuff out of my wardrobe.
great to hear peoples approaches to this challenge.
have a great weekend all

I know I have had a cold and a family bereavement but - I have not bought any clothes for ages. I went to a big shopping centre for a craft show but didn't look in any shops!Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Sorry to hear about the bereavement Florenceem x
Well I did some anti-shopping today, too back three of the five bras I ordered from Debs - nearly took back 4 but was with my mum and as we walked into store she pointed out one was going to return on the rail saying how pretty it was - then insisted I keep it when I said I had it to return - and who am I to argue with my mummyit does actually mean I'm having second thoughts about the original one I was going to keep
argh! too many choices. My mum said 'well underwear doesn't last forever' - she has no idea how old some of mine is
Did resist a t-shirt in TKM, and then picked out a t-shirt and a really sweet cardi in Zara, went pay and my mum insisted instead (cue mother / daughter argument at front of queue ...double) - but very nice of her, thanks mum xx :A
Oh, and those shoes I was lusting after in Office were horrible, a really pale tan colour that was like insipid cat sick - really not as nice as online
So, these are my next two targets

Perhaps i should open a shoe design business, I know exactly what I want but can't bloomin find them!Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I sent a lot of stuff back to different places so took that off my total. But then bought 1 t-shirt off of Amazon £13 and another off of ebay £5.50, also a shawl for £2.99.
So I'm back up to £45.00 again:p This c.c clothes challenge really does make me think a bit more about the money I'm spending on clothes:T

Sorry to be thick - what does pmsl mean?
No spends for me since the massive amount I spent before my hols, and I wore all of it a lot (cold and wet on the bike) so i don't feel so bad now

"peeing myself laughing" I believe!
Glad you got lots of use of your new stuff.
I tried on a dress I've tried on before (but this time they had the right size). It was lovely, but I'd need to buy new shoes for it too, and this close to the end of the month I just didn't have the cash. It's £45  but I would wear it loads. Might hold out for the sale though as the cold weather will stop me wearing it during the day and I don't have any nights out planned...Virtual Sealed Pot Challenge #148 - £59.93

Had a crazy clothes moment in sainsbugs over the weekend:o
Bought 6 tops in all - a couple for work, a couple of t-shirts and a top to go out in oh, and a vest to go under a rather too-low cut top I've had for ages but only worn once (due to the too-low neckline) total £48 :T
Even better they were all in a size smaller than I would usually buy :j I suspect Sainsbugs may be generous sizing (never bought clothes from there before) but I'm pegging this one up as a weight loss success
40% of my annual budget spent :eek:0 -
was bad today at Debs(see toiletries post) and also bought a John Rochas top for £20 as got a £5 voucher from buying Clarins plus staff discount so only £18 really....now eill have to trawl back through posts to see what I have left:rotfl:
also bought two bras and 4 pairs of pants in the sale but I don't include undies as got resized again for bra not long ago.
went in East but did not buy anything:Asaw the bag I had been lusting after online but don't like it in real life0
