have bought 3 new items. 1 Laura Ashley shirt, reduced to half price; one Crew clothing sweatshirt and a CC shirt , both 15% off.
I couldnt resist ,they are so lovely, and I have purged my wardrobe, anythng which didnt fit well and made me smile when I saw it got sent to the clothes recycling. So liberating.
So, spent in March, but no spending in January or February.
  • Yay - no spends for March :). This is probably the longest I've ever been without buying clothes ;).

Oh dear. Haven't been posting for a while but have been spending:o. I think I will have to change my target spend to £500. It's been really hard as I have lost so much weight none of my clothes fitted me at all and I really have had to pretty much start from scratch with my wardrobe and because when I go out shopping and try stuff on it actually looks nice and I have much more choice of what I can wear it's even harder not to spend. Yesterday I went out pre-Easter Holiday shopping as I am off away for our first holiday abroad for 2 years and since I live in Scotland have literally NO summer clothes really and this is what I have bought over the last month ( not sure if I have already include some of it?)
I bought 2 x plain Tshirts from Primark @ £3 each, one mustard yellow, one black.
Yellow suede ballerina pumps £12 Primark
Yellow & white cardie in a quirky umbrella print £16 Debenhams sale
Very dark blue black capri's £35 debenhams
Yellow/pink print silky scarf £5 River Is*and sale
Blue and white tribal print midi dress £15 RI sale ( I have wanted this for ages)
Blue fine knit cardi £6.49 Gap sale
    Little bracelet £6 Accessri*e
Aztec print scarf in neutral/blue and coral £18 Accessori*e
Coral leather studded Cuff bracelet £8 Accesori*e
    White cropped Tee £8 TopSh*p
Black/white Tribal Print loose cotton trousers £15 New Lo*k
Coral Suede Ballet pumps £12 Primar*
    Black Capri's £22.50 M&S
Grey Tee with big bow detail £7 RI sale
Coral red Spring weight coat Oasis £48
Black/tropical floral print wiggle skirt £12 RI sale
Red and white stripe 50's style bikini £36 Floozie @Deben*ams ( my excuse is I need a really good fit with underwiring for my still too big chest)

I already had in my wardrobe to co-ordinate with above:
Vintage stripe raw silk long Ralph Lauren skirt £2 carboot
50's style floral print dress from Fever a present
Pewter/blue sandals from Clarks Originals £5 sale last year
    Purple Cons a present
Black cardi with folk embroidery £16 sale last year
    Copper handmade cuff Carboot 50p
    Black skinny jeans M&S
Vintage Postcard print bag 50p carboot originally Accessori*e
Cream oversize tunic top with black cutwork around neck Oasis sale £12.

And that will be my final summer wardrobe for the WHOLE summer. I will be going on a walking holiday and will have to buy a few items of lightweight outdoor clothing but that's not till august and I will be doing some ebaying to pay for it, but I plan to buy nothing more more till September and Autumn when we hope to be going to Paris with our DD so can't look too scraggy. I have a few bits to alter too to extend my wardrobe and am going to try and make a few bits with fabric I have in or old clothes eg scarves/ totes etc.

Well done everyone on being more disciplined than I have but I have only bought what I know I will wear and wear and that seem to co-ordinate. No odd impulse buys that don't go with anything else.

    Apologies for the enormous post!!

inspired by the colours in exotic marigold hotel I wore a print skirt with orange/brown and turquoise in it with a brown cami and turquoise shrug, turquoise jewelry and sandals last night(and turquoise eyepencil!) and had some good comments about the outfit, determined to ditch the somber black and be more colourful with mixes of colours not worn before:)

Ooh medsdemon you must have had fun choosing all your new things, and well done with the weight loss! Enjoy wearing all your lovely new clothes :)

I need an icebreaker top for my hols and a new motorbike jacket too cos my old one is too tight :o but I should be ok then. I won't include the bike jacket cos it would wipe out my whole budget and it's a necessity :o

    icebreaker top?!

I never declared my h&m spends, £9.99 on some cute red wool shorts, £9.99 on a much-needed black cardi and £7.99 on some shoes for work. I also spent £8 on a bag from cancer research, £5 on a pair of 50's style heels for a wedding in june, £3 on a lovely top from oxfam, and £5 on a cute purse from the market. Phew!

Let me just tot that up...

I have £48.97 to add to my total, which makes my total £152.04/£300

    Oops :o

  • Almost made it through March with no spends!

I went to an outdoors shop to buy essentials for when I go to Arran in June, bought 2 pairs of hiking socks for £5 which I will add to my total. Also bought a pair of gaiters (waterproof trouser protecting things) but I am refusing to include these as clothing purchases. I don't have much of my budget left so I'll have to start bending my own rules!!

I am a bit worried I'll have to replace my walking trainers that I wear all the time as the sole of one has gotten really worn down, my budget really can't handle new shoes! It is my birthday in April so I'll have to hope for some birthday money to buy a new pair with.

    Good luck for April everyone!
