Any ideas !? moggy
How are you with a needle and thread? Depending on the previous design, how about doing chain-stitch over the back pocket going around the greyish dot and joining them all together in a flowing design. Depending on how big the dots are you could put a few contrasting stitches inside the dot, or if the dot is bigger maybe do a snail's shell design.
Or if you're not handy with a needle and thread how about an iron-on Union Jack flag on each pocket.0 -
I think it's up to you whether you count it or not? e.g.did you include it in your original budget?
I think my £200 was of my own money, birthday money etc can be spent on what I like. Or if that wasn't my original idea, then that's what I'm going with now hahah :rotfl:Can't think of anything smart to put here...0 -

Morning all!
Firstly well done to all those who have not spent a bean since January and to those who have well done on finding some jolly good bargains.
I actually have spent yet again in past week on two tops in a local Cs. Have already updated sig but the cost totalled £7.48.
Had the day off on Monday and went into town to find birthday pressies but was wearing the most inappropriate top for the weather(well it was freezing when I first set out,and I stupidly did not layer up as normal) and bought the first summery top that I liked in a CS. A very pretty short sleeved blouse of a chocolate base with raspberry coloured Hawaiian type printed flowers on by David Emmanuel, a snip at £3.99- so I changed into that very quickly.
Then I found a really nice long sleeved semi cotton/cheesecloth loose shirt from indigo range of M&S. White base with thin indigo & dark pink check running through it -sleeves can be buttoned up and its fitted at the waist so that was bought too at £3.49
So now I have nearly reached my total spend of what I spent in total last year and I think I know why. Have been doing this challenge for a couple of years and before that I used to buy majority of stuff in CS or hand me downs or ups anyway and I honestly think that a lot of my stuff is coming to the end of their wearability.
Yes I do repair/mend/dye as much as I can but I am having to replace more stuff than I have had to do in the past couple of years so early on in the challenge. The two tops just bought will replace two other CS shop bought ones I got last year(one brown dotty monsoon one that I wore to death and now the print is wearing more out and I have broken the buttons, twice and the other a white similar one with similar fate),anyway, will keep them in my material stash, just in case:o
Goodness knows what will happen when my fave toffee coloured cashmere cardi starts to go:eek: -wear it all the time,Jae$$er,I think about £5 from CS two years ago,am already scouring the CS shops to find a replacement!lol!
Anyway am on annual leave for Easter and I am going to try to go through my wardrobe and DD x 2 and sort us all out and maybe a shopping list of what is needed may be required but hopefully not as ,am sticking to challenge like glue!

Afternoon All
Had to scramble around in the wardrobe/cupboards this morning for less wintery clothes (summer stuff in the loft) managed to team up a black flare-y type skirt with a short sleeved white-with-navy-stripe top, not worn together before. Also freed up some reddish sandals to complete the nautical look :rotfl:

I like those ideas, especially the flag thing with it being 'in' at the moment! Or you could buy some more diamante things and stick them on with a hot glue gun, or studs, sounds fun!I think my £200 was of my own money, birthday money etc can be spent on what I like. I can feel an attack of the spends coming on. Luckily I'll be walking in Wales this weekend so not near shops but I've got a bit of time off over Easter and no plans which could be dangerous. Hmm. I'll try to get out my summer clothes and have a sort out and do some refurbishing etc so I know if I actually need anything. And finish the bag I've been making for my cousin for over a year. Good that's a plan.
