Good luck, I'm sure you can do it! Like Penelope Penguin said, break it down into smaller chunks; say plan what you want to have achieved by March and what you'll do to get there.

I find this the best approach as I can tick things off as I do each small bit, so even if I don't quite hit my end goal I acknowledge the parts I have achieved (& dont then feel like giving up!) :0)
    First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!

    Hi

Dont dispair, where did you buy it? Was it past its sell by date? You could take it back and get a refund. :)

I know how you feel, I had the same thing happen to me recently....

Good luck in the new job spendless ;-). It's a mindset and it can work. I find
I slip and end up doing all or nothing but a bit of stern talking to and a review
With myself lol soon sorts things. Thinking along the flexi time is a good one.
Short sharp blasts of work is also great in not allowing the tasks to fill the time.
If you have to find another job then planning in time for researching this is also vital.
    Happy new year all x
I hadn't considered this but at the minute due to a generous insurance pay-out I currently don't have to find a job and with my Nan sufferring dementia I currently don't want to either. Not till everything is sorted re Nan and I've reached my final room to de-clutter and organise.

Newstart - I bought it about a month ago from Tesco. It was one of those large vacuum packed ones. I cut it in half and put them both in the freezer.
I don't have the packaging for it.

    Happy new year guys

not done much as been out visting family.

girls room still a mess but sorted out some laundry
got washing up to do kitchen
    tree and decs down.

tommorows another day and dont have to be anywhere tommorow so will do as much as I can.

decided new years resoloutions rather than specific things will be specific areas

    so

keep it simple- try not overcomplicate life

do things that reduce stress /worry levels for me that means

    organised up to date

    address book
    calender
    diary

    extra storage
    less clutter
    household rota-little each day
some bulk buying found bulk buying kids birthday pressies and cards really useful for endless parties last year.
storage systems that work for us that enable us to be tody which means more storage so watching lots cheap ones on ebay.
    Ensure everyone has a place.
clothing what we have fits , in good condition and we like.

    meal planning
    making shopping lists
buying in sales clothes sizes ahead and next years xmas stuff
buying 1 xmas pressie a month
    also buying stuff for birthdays.

    be good to myself

    make time for me
    make time for hobbies
    investigate courses for retraining
    make time to pamper me
ensure I have a wardrobe im happy with mix and match stylish peices like gok wans capsule wardobe always wanted to be one of those smug ladies at airport with small pull case not sat on my suitcase and emptying my handluggage as too heavy!
Try and not others influence or upset me too much, typical sensisitive cancarerian its their problem not mine.
Try and stay positive and enjoy the good things and keep calm when its bad.

  • We have had a clearout of our wardrobes and you wouldn't believe how much stuff we've chucked/given to charity!
It dawned on me that a lot of my laundry mountain was made up of things worn only very occasionally and in OH's case, I was washing socks with holes in!!!

So if anyone is struggling with the amount of Laundry they have to do, consider having a sort-out - you might find you can reduce!:j

Morning all, wow everyone's doing so briliiant it really helps, also helps to see i'm not the only one with messy children and messy hubby lol. I am still in bed (!) but i popped down to make a cuppa just now and where i left the lounge and kitchen looking tidy (so long as no one opens a cupboard:o) they are now a huge mess again?!

I did clean and retidy ds3's little bedrm yesterday and made a start on the room my other boys share, got ds1 to sort some of his stuff out, got half a sack for cs and a bin liner for the tip, can also see the floor now and walk in the room without being tripped up :T still needs to be finished and cleaned but looks much better! Also have a 10 wk old puppy who likes to sneak in their room to chew thei stuff so the tidier it is the less things will be ruined!:p

Really need to make a start on my room its really dire, but back to work this wk, got an interview on friday and ds2's party and sleepover on saturday so got alot on, think will just try to tidy up all the drawers in the lounge today so they can be opened in front of my mum without embarrassment lol! Hope you all have a good day and a belated happy new year x

Monnagran your post made me laugh!!! I have also told the girls about it, and said im going to implement it if they carry on. I have asked them to tidy there room today so we will see hehehe. Well today s the start of my sort the house out project. I will post later with what i managed to achieve. Had a bad night with DH last night, n lots of pain resulting in us being awake most of the night, so it wont be much, but it wll be a start. My big job that want to start on is my bedroom. I am ashamed to say it is awful, and worthy of how clean is your house horror gaspss and tuts. So when DH wakes up Im going to tackle in there. Hope you all have a good day.

    love princess xxxx
