Agreed! I decided to have a NY party for a bunch of 18-20 year olds, purely so I could motivate myself to tidy - still didn't really get started till 2pm on Hogmanay though!:o0 -
Gailey - we got married in august after being together for 8 years. town hall then eat all you want chinese for close family and friends. It was perfect, we were home by 3pm! We paid for the wedding, didnt cost much as i borrowed a dress, the boys clothes were form primatk and in laws bought hubbys suit. We asked for money towards disneyland if anyone wanted to give a present - we did really well and paid for that and the spends.
I managed to do lots of ironing today - i nkow people who dont iron but it doesnt matter what i do clothes seem to look a mess unless i do it.
I pretty much have all of wednesday to myself once - should be home by 9.45am so i plan on washing down all the skirting boards.
Have toast club tomorrow morning and making 12 loaves of toast and selling them to the school kids is hard work even though there are two of us! Then ive got to pick up bread so apart from hoovering downstairs and cleaning the bathroom im having a lazy afternoon tomorrow.

Hi everyone!
Just popping in to say hi! Decluttering and the rest start tomorrow when little one is back in school.
Have taken the tree down and put everything in the loft all labelled and organised in plastic crates. It was touch and go with Rudolph the 4 foot light up reindeer as to whether he would fit through the loft door, but managed it in the end.
I came across this site late last night. It has some fabulous templates for organising everything and anything.

Hi
I've been watching this thread and lurking for days. Now I'm on my pc not iphone I thought I'd join in!!
I can completely empathise with all of you - I have a 17 month old little boy, 2 mad border collies and work part time. Both me and OH have always been quite lazy when it comes to house work and are terrible with money. Since LO has been here I have wanted the house to be tidier and cleaner and would like to learn to cook and budget. Plus I have put back on the weight I lost after I had LO and am feeling very frumpy. Soo, like many of you, I would like to turn all that around in 2012 - quite a tall order!!
I got Jamie Oliver's 'Ministry of Food' book for christmas and am going to try a recipe a week from it. This week it is chicken and white wine stew. I am not very confident when it comes to cooking and was a vegetarian for 10 years so even less confident about cooking meat!! My attempts at cooking usually end up in the bin and OH going to the chippy:( But I have decided this is the year that I learn to cook and I am going to persevere. I would love to have the confidence to be able to rustle things up in the kitchen for LO without panicking and taking ages!!!
I have decided to try and tackle a few things at a time and hopefully in a month they will become a habit and then I can move onto something else. So for this month I am going to make sure that I take my make up off each night and cleanse tone and moisturise each night as I am very lazy about it!!!
Gailey - just to show that you are not on your own - the kitchen floor is one of my pet hates - it gets filthy from the dogs and my LO is still crawling but I can't motivate myself to clean it enough - just moan and procrastinate!! Anyway, yesterday I cleaned it and was really pleased with myself. By the evening the dogs had covered it with muddy paw prints and this morning I came downstairs to find one of them had weed on it!!!! (They don't usually do this!!!) Bloody typical
Anyway I have waffled on enough (sorry) - off to cleanse tone and moisturise in a minute!!0 -

Lindyloo-wedding sound fab and disney world be great bet kids are exited!
Well I dident get it all done.
dident think I would with all 3 at home.
But the bits I did do im happy with:D
Focussed on girls room
sorted through all thier books and toys that were usptairs and sorted intgo various boxes.
I dident need to change thier bedding as was dry and clean
just made their beds and sorted their teddies.
any lose clothes I bagged up into bags and placed in corner to be dealt with tommorow as feels better when can see the floor.
Removed lots from windowsill so seems lighter.
dident get chance to run hoover round as had to put toddler to bed early as she was well grumpy.
The girls share the largest master bedroom we swopped to give them more room foir their toys. but our wardrobe still in their room.
plan is buy single wardrobe for our room.
give them half of our wardrobe
get new chest of drawas in their room that fill all their clothes.
bidding on chest draws for baby boys room a tallboy so can use baskets under my bed for my clothes maybe pjs and nighties as they take up so much space in my draws.
I also desperatly need a dvd/cd storage thing as they curremtly stacked in neat pile in girls room on top of their cupboard.
if can clear out some of our clutter they should have enough space.
hubby has week off soon and plan is
lay laminate in there as carpets seen better days
repaint giving nice fresh new look.
eying up some reduced duvet covers
need to save for bunkbed for them
watching ebay for any cheap bits and storage.
the tree decs still need to go loft
sorted ebay but dident sort emails
did nice tea,.
did eldests homework and spent some time with her.
babys been restless
changed bedding in my room and had quick tidy.
havent ironed uniform or made packed lunch.
did watch some tv but dident have bath ran out of time.
so still have to decluter hall/lounge-will try do tommorow
clean kitchen-did wash up but then made more mess
still havent written meal plan but know doing spag bol tommorow as only have spaggetti, defdrosted mince and reduced garlic bread in freezer,
But have school run get eldest to brekkie club for 8
be at slimming world by 9.45
then have to walk 2-3miles to nearest flipping santander as hubby needs money paid in.
So going to be out a lot then get back have lunch, change kiddies and be time for afternoon school run but fortunatly no clubs tommorow night.
best try get some sleep. would love to be really organised by end of this week
