Mumto2monkeys: Oooooooh how I know that feeling! Finally, some peace and quiet and you just KNOW that you should take the opportunity to clean the cooker or restore order in the chaos. And what happens? You make a cup of coffee and watch Judge Judy. Oh the guilt!

Me too monnagran .
I did a few little bits to try and make myself feel a bit less guilty, but the house is still largely a tip and I have the nurse coming this afternoon to check DDs blood, so I'm going to have to have a tidy round. It doesn't help that little DS is poorly and clingy, so I will have to hoover with him hanging off my leg. Fun times. That'll teach me for being a slattern

Mum to 2 monkeys: Lets start a new movement, (or perhaps 'movement' is not the right word more 'non-movement'.) Slatterns Inertia Together or SIT.:D
I had a cleanie friend who once remarked casually that she had tidied her cutlery drawer before coming to work because it was Wednesday!. When she clocked my dropped jaw she said "Don't you have jobs scheduled for different days?" I pointed out that if I woke up and discovered that it was the day for cleaning the oven I wouldn't have got up at all.
The things people are accomplishing on this thread leaves me breathless with admiration. I think you are all wonderful.:A
On the other hand I have had a very full and interesting life, have hosts of really good friends and grown-up children who talk about their 'magical' childhood, in spite of the chaos and sticky kitchen floors. I suppose that it's a matter of priorities and I must confess that when I have cleaned a cupboard or room I love it - have to keep going back to it to enjoy the sight.
Keep up the good work people- I will follow your progress with fascination.:TI believe that friends are quiet angels

I'm back nearly did all I wanted to but 10-10.30 I always stop along with 1-1.30 as that's when OHs has his breaks at work n he always text me to see how going at home n I mean LO not cleaning lol
I've put washing on OHs new clothes
Dw been empty, refilled n put back on. Shall empty it when done
I've used oven pride to clean oven, well it's doing it's job now will rinse it later
I also sorted a cupboard which wasn't on my list but was getting something out and got it done
LO had breakfast n dressed
I still need to fold sheets in dryer which 1st thing I will do as need it for washing which ending soon
Sort bookcase - can't do till LO down for nap
Hoover
And finish cleaning kitchen done 1/3 of it so far
Don't think doing too bad on the whole seeing as its not even 11 yet feel as had good start to day just need to keep it up. Where I fail is as it hits lunch and LO naps I sit down n don't get back up n before I know it he's awake lolMummy to Lewis Born Aug 100 -
Lol I am still sat doing nothing but I did want to add to the list makers and task allocators please schedule fire alarm battery checks. So for me in the next 2 hours I will
Clean 3 bathrooms and change all towels and flannels etc
Put washing machine on probably twice
Empty dishwasher
Work out what to eat and defrost needs
Refresh flowers although they may need chucking
Do fire alarms as one is blipping
And MSE make menu from food in freezer and cupboard
Plus do date check in store cupboards (this may scare me it's been a while )
See you all laterLiving the dream and retired in Cyprus :j
