I need to have a vent.
I've had a good couple of days with family before being back at work tomorrow and I will not let one emotionally blackmailing manipulative @rshole git of a relative spoil it by trying to push my buttons and use my 95 year old grandparent in his stupid little games. I will delete his texts, block his phone, and drink his sodding wine myself.
And breathe.

elsien, that really is only a beginner's vent...you can do much better with practice.
:D
Sorry you have a PITA in your circle. Some pins and a voodoo doll sometimes helps relieve stress.Herman - MP for all!0 -
I bow to the wisdom of the experts.:p
And would prefer a jackhammer to the head rather than pins and a doll the way I'm feeling at the moment.
I keep telling myself it's not worth getting wound up about but I am thinking seriously bad thoughts at the moment. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

what goes around comes around ......
but it still annoys you doesn't it !
On xmas we go to the granny in laws and SIL come with her kid and hubby (neice is such a sweetie) and she decided she was going to tell my 4 year old off infront of everyone for being a kid and being excited and made him cry and ruined the rest of his night. She has also before spent the day putting my other son down who struggles at school and is dyslexic until he said to me when he go home "i'm never gonna know anything am i I'll always be thick" which enraged me and i sat and cried that she made him feel that way. I really don't know how i've kept my calm next time she does something i just know i'll explode ! she is such a f%&£ing b&~#h excuse my french !0 -
Look, what's the point of having all this bad stuff inside and not letting them out?
This is a rant.
Right, Christmas Eve my sis came with her hubby, and 3 children.
I did a stew and dumplings which they ate, some strawberry milk shakes for the kids, then rice pudding and custard.
So that's 5 plus hubby and me.
Today I had DD and boyfriend, mom and dad, plus 2 friends with their son.
I did a big buffet, roast beef, roast pork, turkey, pork pie, salad, baked spuds with garlic butter, roast veg, etc etc 2 different desserts, drinks.
So that's 9 plus hubby and me.
How many people offered to help lay the table, or help clear it after?
None. Not a flipping one of the bone idle lot. Didn't even put a plate by the sink.
Meanwhile there's me and my seriously ill hubby chasing round and waiting on them like a pair of feccin idiots.
Never again.
Pah.
Tomorrow DH's dad's coming.
Wednesday my br his wife and their 3 boys are coming.
Plus another 2 friends.

My ex has let down his kids once again. Promising to come for Christmas Day, he got into a family fight with his lot Christmas Eve and sat in a depressive state for both days. Even though I offered to come and fetch him/take him home so the kids could see him, he was a selfish !!!! and would rather sit and feel sorry for himself.
The saddest bit though is that the kids are so used to being let down by him, they weren't surprised at all. The best bit is that they had a brilliant few days without him.0 -
Family members children that cant do anything wrong apparently.....
and the family member you have to constantly walk on egg shells for to keep happy.
I may be back with a more in depth vent once ive finished a bottle of wine.mum to; Two Boys (Non id twins)Two Girls (Id twins)0 -
I've been swinging between letting him have it with both barrels and rising above it. The rising above it theory has the benefit of not having to see the gobsh1te ever again. Plus it really is quite good wine.
2012ismyyear - go for it!
(Barneysmom - I probably haven't been the helpfulest of guests on the clearing up front with my family, but I have been on cuppa duty for most of the time - would that go anyway towards redeeming me?)All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

My nan has been acting 'bizarre' for the past fortnight. Telling me she can communicate thru ESP, and ringing my mum to tell her the reason she's been acting strange is cos she is working undercover for the police (she's 87!) and a few days ago we were told she is sufferring from dementia. She has been perscribed medication. On Dec 23rd she was fine baking sausage rolls and icing cake with my kids, Dec 24th she was ok. Yesterday she rang at 7.30 to say 'Merry Xmas' but by the time I went to pick her up she was unwell, then she seemed more herself and came to our house for lunch and just as lunch was being dished out, she decided she was leaving cos 'we were playing music to wind her up'. No music was playing! We ended up with my 8yo sobbing into her lunch, my 11yo sat with his hands in his head, whilst my DH tried to calm her and stop her walking out whilst we waited for my parents to arrive.
Later me, DH and DS fell asleep and whilst we were, DD set up a password on the laptop-that she then couldn't remember!
Honestly I have felt like I'm acting in an Eastenders christmas special!
Anyway today my Nan told Mum that she slept all thru Xmas day! And the laptop has been fixed due to a neighbour's 'geeky' son-in-law that we now owe a crate of booze to.0
