Me and a friend queue jumped once in Leicester Square to get in to see Terminator 2. When challenged we pretended to be French!Don't grow up. Its a trap!

I have just returned from NEXT.
This has been our worst experience yet at the next sale.
We managed to get there for around 6, and there was already a queue to get in.
Joined the queue for the tills around 8 o'clock, and we were served at about 12 o'clock.
I don't have issues with waiting in a long queue for the tills. What really wound me up was that it wasn't a particularly long queue. However, people were blatantly queue jumping all morning, and we were stuck at the same place for hours on end. I pointed this out to one of the supervisors, and she said I'll keep an eye out. However, it still continued even when we were close to the till.
I was so angry I aasked to speak to the manager, and I gave her a piece of my mind.
My point is that if they extra security at the door, they should have security at the tills to ensure people are not queue jumping.
Next management: sort it out!
Rant over.
Agreed with the other posters - what sort of pillock queues for four hours in NEXT???0 -
The tv news tonight showed a mad rush when the doors opened and the majority of the folk running into the stores seemed to be of Chinese origin. The commentator said that people from all over the world came to join the queues. Is this true? Are the sale prices here attractive enough to do this? I wouldn't have thought so, but maybe someone could tell me otherwise.0

Don't let some people on here know that. They will be around your house at 6 in the morning waiting to get in.
By the way totally agree with you. I would not queue for 5 mins to get into a next sale.Iva started Dec 2018.0 -
I don't shop at Next and certainly wouldn't queue for that amount of time, but that's another story. One thing I know is I cannot stand queue jumping.
Just before Xmas I was in Poundland, there were only 2 checkouts open and the queue was all the way up the aisle. Fortunately, the queue was moving quite quickly anyway. A man and woman were waiting at the side of the queue trying to cut in front of someone.
They tried cutting in front of me and I said quite plainly "the queue is back there", with that he said "we've been waiting here for 5 mins", I said "so have I mate, but the queue is still back there". With that he tutted at me and moved away.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -

Me too, I hate queue jumping with a passion. It must be a British thing.:D
I don't know why people say it must be a British thing. I've been to many countries around the world and queuing is quite normal in just about all of them. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

Depends, there might be a large market for Western clothing back home? They might be selling the stuff on Chinese Ebay0
