Thanks fos for this - I have bookmarked it for future reference
Love all of the latest piccies ladies :T
Welcome to the cafe chelmsfordgirl :hello:. Hope you manage to sort something for Sidney Opera House. Love both of the suggestions so far. Keep us updated with your progress.
Have not done one stitch for several days - is it because its backstitching now - I don't know. Can't seem to get the motivation to get back onto it. I suppose in all fairness we have got other stuff going on - diy for a start and I have been trying to list stuff for the free listing this weekend (takes me so long and I feel traumatised afterwards - ds just shakes his head at me). Hoping to get this finished as I was hoping to do some Easter cards and I think there is a card I want to do in the next edition of XStitch Card Mag. I probably just need a kick up the bum as I'm getting too easily distracted.
(((hugs))) 23rd - hope anitibotics do what they have to do and that you're feeling a better soon.
Byeeee for now

Oh poo - I went googling for sparkly fabric last night (as you knew I would) and I found the Ladybird Fairy by Joan Elliott. I am not a fairy person, but I just love this.

It is nice sometimes to look at your stitching on the wall & see the year stitched and think how much you've stitched since then. I usually ask DH's opinion on if I should initial/date my work & if so, where it should go. Most of the time he says yes & it tends to be the bottom left corner. Have a look at my album for an example. http://s917.photobucket.com/albums/ad11/Honey_4/My%20cross%20stitch/
How funny that we were both making the same suggestion at almost exactly the same time - our messages are posted 2 mins apart! I agree that it can be interesting to see at a glance when you stitched something but not every design lends itself to initials/dates especially the pictorial ones (in my opinion).
Love your album of work - thanks for sharing it0 -

Lovely design and Polstitches fabric is wonderful - another company I would recommend (sorry) I love the variations on different colours of Polstitches fabric - my favourite is Silver Lining. I am considering doing Mirabilia's Cinderella (#69) as my next "big stitch" and think this fabric might work especially in the opalescent version

Louise - thanks for the suggestion abiut adding the date to the basket. I've spoken to hubby and we both think this is a great idea so will do that today before I pack it away awaiting framing.
TellmeitsFriday - followed your link to the ladybird fairy, it's really nice. Weird statement alert - I'm scared of ladybirds!!! I ws bitten by one Aug 2010 and nearly ended up in hospital because of it. I had a reaction to it a few days before going on holiday and could hardly walk. Ended up with a strong course of antibiotics to clear it. Now move if I see one any where near me.
Thought you could all do with a laugh this morning.
Anyway, I'm off work this week, seeing as it's half term and have decided to do back ups of the charts that I have sitting on my computer. Have also promised myself I will get some wool and start knitting for my nephews' wives (2 nephews, 1 wife each) who are expecting early summer. That menas there may be little cross stitch progress over the next few weeks.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

the fairy is lovely (but still not tempted). am trying to decide if i like her nursrey rhyme sampler or not. at first glance - yes, then on closer inspection there is something about it that makes me think "weird".
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

Wisteria is gorgeous and Ladybird Fairy will look fabulous on it (not trying to encourage your overdraft of course)0 -
