  • Flat Eric I would try and get an appoinment asap to see if they can do anyhting about the sharp edge of your tooth. They may be able to fill it before you may get an infection in it and it then may cost you more (you dont want that)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Car Insurance Carver! Xmas Saver!
I finished the squirrels for OH! :j yay!

But now can't frame it:( boo!

I found the Perfect frame in a charity shop yesterday, so very happy, and knew the framers wouldn't have had anything so retro kitsch! I've framed things myself before but I've a problem... The back board thing fits so snugly in the frame there's no room to wrap the Aida around. I could cut to fit exactly but that worrys me (couldnt reframe in future). Or I could cut some cardboard just smaller and mount over that (but it's oval so tricky!). There's no time to get it done professionally... What would you do?

I'm off out to a patchwork shop annual sale, then OH isn't in till 8pm so I do have a little time...

Why not take the glass out of the frame and that will give you the extra depth you need.

    Good idea! Thanks!

Edit: sadly didn't work. just too tight around the backboard to even push in without glass :(

  • Hello
Sorry for being Awol again for so long.
I have been distracted by my health and stuff for the last couple of weeks. My cardiologist didn't have any answers, and his suggestion of slowly stopping beta blockers has confused both me and my GP. My GP has promised me we will get to the answer one day. And in the meantime I am left to deal with the constant fatigue and breathlessness.
And work are now planning to dismiss me on ill health :( which is a shame.
So I am in limbo really waiting to hear what happens next.

I have been stitching a little to take my mind off things and I managed to complete a bookmark of Percy from Thomas the tank engine for my DS. (Post pics later).

Haven't read all the posts, so will go and have a nosey.

FlatEric - I had a tooth that just fell apart, I think it cost me about £17 ish to get it looked at. Hope you get it sorted.

  • I have a sin to confess - just spent a fortune on fabric and bits and bobs for my ladybird fairy. It'd better look nice when I am done.

I went for polstitches sparkly linen dyed as Seranade. The lady on the phone was lovely, said that linen picks up more dye than aida, so I'd be better off picking a paler colour, hence why I never went for Wisteria :)

Anyway, looking forward to my parcel arriving :):):):)

Hello overdraft, here I come ;)

23rd - I was going to suggest taking the glass out. I think I'd have a go at cutting a piece of card slightly smaller than the frame and try that way. At least if that doesn't work you havent' cut the fabric.

I've decided that I am going to stitch the patchwork horse and teddy for my Nephews baby. Have changed the pink threads to red ones and it should be okay whether they have a boy or girl. Will leave the border until we know the sex.

Here's the picture of what I'm aiming at.6876021097_93f4f458ec_m.jpg

Aislb thanks! That's such good sense! I'll do that first and hopefully it'll be all I need to do :)

Well I enjoyed the quilt shop sale very much. I was quite restrained and only got fabric to complete existing things on my WIP or To Make lists. Well apart from 1 1/2 meter and some scraps but that's ok I think!

23rd - glad you enjoyed the sale, sounds like you were very restrained.

Whilst sorting out my floss and fabric for the patchwork horse I came across some binca, a piece of light blue and a smallish piece of cream. I think it was Katyliz that was after some if this possibly for her daughter. Katyliz if you can make use of some of the fabric let me know (pm me).
