So I have sourced a copy of the magazine - nothing in smiths, so I thought I'd ring the publisher, even though on the website it said they had none.
The lovely lady on the phone found one for me, and has popped it in the post... and best of all, she's only charging me the cover price. Yay! What good service
So, I will be making some purchases this weekend I think
Thanks Future! x0 -

Thanks for the sparkly fabric suggestions. Just off to have a wee look......Challenge savings 2010-2016 £1564.60:j

Having said that it's finished on the instructions it suggests that you add the year that the piece is stitched in the bottom right corner. As I am a symetry freak I don't think I can add 2012 to one side only. Any suggests or do you think I should leave it as it is?
I always sign my work - an artist signs their work so we are artists so why not. I alway sneak it into the design somewhere. Usually if its a wedding design I don't put year in.. As its already there.tellmeitsfriday wrote: »Oh poo - I went googling for sparkly fabric last night (as you knew I would) and I found the Ladybird Fairy by Joan Elliott. I am not a fairy person, but I just love this.

It's in Cross Stitch Collection 206, which is on sale 'til tomorrow. Better get to whsmith today then eh. I just love her. I have to make her
Bad - all of you are bad
If you need afor the lady bird - you know the drill.
Well still no news for hubby - trying so hard not to let it get to me.
Trying to get the gumption (for want of a better word) to try and sort out my magazines - see what I am missing from the fire. Also trying desprately to find my stitching mojo. I miss it so much and want to do some but when I get settled to do some, something happens and I can't. Feel so awful.
Loving all the stitching thats going on.
Well better go and get on - have to check up on family on facebook. Find a couple of threads for a swap I am doing on facebook for a chart and maybe find my stitching a do some. Wonder if I could take it to work and do - I am only girl in my department - imagine if I took it out at lunchtime with the lads :rotfl:
Kind wishes to all where ever you are

I take my stitching to work and really enjoyed the half hour I spent stitching this lunchtime. We have a designated staff room now so my intention is to stay away from my desk and the computer and stitch :j Only trouble is, I don't want to go back to work once I'm into my stitchingbut at least it breaks up the day :T

I hope you won't mind me posting this but you are all such lovely peeps, I'm sure you won't mind and I would be grateful for your advice.
Whilst eating my tea tonight, a tooth has broken off from the back right of my mouth.
Its quite big  as teeth gobut I am in no pain, there is no blood (sorry) and there was no discomfort whilst I finished my tea. :rotfl: Didn't really feel like eating it but well, I had gone to a lot of effort to cook it and I didn't want to waste it as I hadn't eaten very much.
So anyway, to begin with I couldn't establish where the tooth had been lost from but now I have, I'm unsure what to do.
I can hardly glue it back in :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and that certainly isn't my intention but I'm reluctant to be calling the dentist tomorrow requesting an emergency appointment because thats going to mean money (which I would rather not spend)
I have to say that I am not sure if what has broken off is the tooth in its entirety because what appears to be left? / there now is quite sharp but I'm wondering if its possible for me to just leave it and see what happens ?
I will phone the dentist tomorrow because I'm sure I'm due for a check up in March and I was kind of hoping that I could just leave it until then and see what happens. Would be grateful for your thoughts.
Thank you muchly and sorry for going off topic0 -
I think if you want stuck back on you have to keep it in milk - so might be worth doing that til you've spoken to the dentist.
As for leaving it, they might be able to file it off and leave it if no nerves are exposed.
I snapped off my one of my front teeth and chipped another when I was about 7. They stuck the broken piece back on, and filed off the other to remove the sharp edge0 -
Flat eric- I had an emergency appointment last year and it cost me about £17 and whilst I was there the dentist did my normal check up. I would spend the money and go and have it checked out. If you leave it you may end up with tooth ache in a few days which may cost more in the long run.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Flat Eric - you would e best to go as soon as possible and count that as your check up.
If there's a sharp bit then that's not good and there's always the chance they could help if you get seen quickly.
LOL at you finishing your dinner cos you didn't want to waste it - I'm impressed:rotfl::TCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Flat Eric that happened to me in the autumn. My check up was due in a week! so annoying... So I called and asked for a non emergency but urgent booking. I'm NHS. She squeezed me in 2days later, he made plans, filled down a sharpe bit, then did the actual work in my regular appointment. Maybe they can do same for you? Good luck.
Oh I'm not sure I congratulated PAP and Moosmummy? (or was it august mummy?) sorry. Head not on straight this week.
