  • Eric, get it sorted :) Hopefully they will only charge you once and do the checkup too. But don't let it become infected/cause pain because pain always = more money :o

Ails, Adore that sampler, how super cute. Can't wait to see it finished :j

Well my sticthing weekend (evenings) didn't really go to plan because I was unwell on Sunday and I had a cake order Monday. But I have done quite a bit, will do some more and post an updated picture later tonight :D

:j yay i think it worked! i'm so pleased the framing looks ok... i did as Aslib suggested and mocked it up with some cardboard and double sided tape... will have to remember to do it properly some time. woot for charity shops! i'm so chuffed the frame looks good and suitable, i'd no idea what i was looking for other than 'kitch' and traditional!

that sampler looks very cute Aslib, i'm sure they'll love it!

    25p! wow louise that's a bargain!

i have my fingers crossed for you August Mummy.

:j yay for finishing Tulip Fields BEG... that was quick! i'm looking forward to the photo :)

  • Ailsb - that sampler is too cute! Where is it from if you don't mind me asking?

The ladybird fairy is lovely as well, I couldn't look earlier as the work computers block all blog sites! But now I've seen all the things you've been talking about I feel more things being mentally added to my to stitch list!

Still haven't started Santa's List :( Where does the time go in the evenings? Tomorrow OH is at work so I WILL get some stitching done! Must get a move on :rotfl:

    23rd - that looks lovely.

B_E_G - look forward to seeing your completed tulip fields.

Have gridded my fabric and got it on the frame ready to start stitching tomorrow. Can't do any tonight as just finished sharing a chinese and a bottle of cava with my husband and son (didn't share the wine with my son).

It's from an old copy of Cross Stitcher probably about 10 years old. I scanned it from the magazine in 2006 according to the date on the file. If you want a ;) just let me know. Happy to share.

Question time... How do you store your completed projects that haven't been framed? I have mine in a pile in a drawer but I am sure that isn't doing them any good. Should they be wrapped in acid free tissue paper or something? :o
  • 23rd love it

Umm *ahem*:o....my smaller pieces are ironed and laid out flat on top of each other in a big cardboard box and stored in a cupboard. My large pieces are rolled round a large empty wrapping paper tube (a sturdy one) one at a time and then I have a towel wrapped round them to keep them clean.

I have over 100 pieces of finished stitching stored via these two methods..... some of them are fairly large pieces of work. The earliest dates back to 2002 :o:o:o On the positive side, when i last checked the 'time capsule' box, they were all still pristine lol
    :D

    Finished Thomas tonight,

Update on my stitchy news - Tulip Fields completed tonight.

Well done on completing both of you - look forward to seeing the finished results.
