(i just copied and pasted the pic from facebook, not via flickr or anything fancy so if it's not there please do say!)
i think i said i'm off work for a few days with quite a lot of pain, but really isolated in one side of my neck and jaw, so really odd. so thanks for this cute and simple design from this months CrossStitcher, and my new lap frame, i'm able to make my fiance a Valentines gift.
*Louise, you really should get commission... i too am in love with this frame! (its not quite tight in the pic as i'd loosened if off for a break.)

I know!! :rotfl:It's brilliant though, isn't it. Even if the plastic clips do loosen over a period of time, you can just slip a piece of paper between that and the fabric and it does the trick. :T
Ps Pic is deffo there, it's coming along well
I am on my last 100 stitches of this section of TBM, will post a pic later on. Afternoon ladies, no update from me because I have been too busy to stitch. I have secured myself a new job so when I am not training with them on my days off from current job I am researching on the internet. Going to reward myself with a few hours tonight before a whole weekend in the current job
Shall post an update on Tuesday I think :j
Ps, I want a lapframe now. I used a hobby craft voucher for a roller wooden one but its pants because you can't get the fabric tight enough. I will try and invest in a lapframe soon0 -

sorry havent been in for ages im trying to declutter and catch up on some knitting so havent had my stitching out for a while. to be honest i read something on here that put me in a quandary. i need advice ive marked my titanic out with a white adia marker my dd got me form america via ebay, any way after reading bad reports on here about them im now scared that ive ruined it, the adia is navy and the sky and some of the sea isnt stitched jsut the stars the icebergs and a few ripples so do i spend ages stiching finish it and possibly not be able to wash the white marks out, or do i take it off the frame wash it now partly done then struggle to finsih it IF the marks come out. its sort of put me off as im already thinking ive ruined it and have wasted all that time.:o
anyway i hope all are well sorry i havent back read but wil go back and look at all the lovely photos now as they always inspire me.
Thank you mrs-m - of course 'sails' - I remembered as soon as I read your post.
I think if I were you I would try soaking the aida before doing any more stitching to see what happens. Good luck.

Good luck with your new job PaP. Look forward to seeing your updates. Just ordered one roll of a London scene wallpaper for spare room to make a bit of a feature. Would loved to have stitched Picadilly but goodness only knows when/if it would ever have been completed :rotfl:
Enjoy the weekend everyone

Finished another page of Touched By Magic
I have to say, after reading about all the 'blue pen' troubles, I washed my work. The pen has been on there for nearly 2 years (May 2010) and has came out with not a trace.
My pen is the white one with the blue lid, it does seem to be the other pen which is causing the problems for people
Anyway, that's another 70.000 stitches or so checked off, only 4 sections left to complete:
Last time:
Now: Not the best quality pic, couldn't find my camera so had to take it on my phone
