FoS - Well she's looking lovely, even headless! Another variation might be to use variegated or lurex threads?

I'm having a bit of a rethink on the magazine front as it's taken me hours to go through only about a dozen magazines!

So my thoughts now are to disect them and then file the projects in poly pockets in themes, what I would like to stitch and what I will try to sell.

Meantime though as I said before, there will still be all the binders and lots of cover kits (with their instructions) going for the cost of the postage.

BTW My daughter is doing the London to Paris cycle ride in aid of MacMillan in July, so any small sponsorship contributions for that in return would also be most welcome.

I reckon it's going to take me at least a couple of weeks if not longer, simply to go through the magazines - let alone marry them up with all the cover kits in the loft!

Why do I always get distracted by the chores of crafting, rather than spending my time on the nice parts of actually creating?
  • Its not one of these is it?

I have a fine tip pen, and a medium tip pen. The writing is in gold.

The blue pen with white lid is the one I have

and on the other side smaller writing saying
Please try with a waste cloth cutting before use.
Please take off a cap with hands, not with a mouth.

oh right, these just have gold writing on them on one side and nothing on the other side. So I am unsure if they are the same make or not. xx

Great suggestion. I'm sure I have some lurex perle threads somewhere although not sure if they are weight I need.

    Remember me?

sorry I have not been on for such a long time - been so very busy with work and totally crashing at the weekend that nothing gets done that I enjoy - also my stitching mojo is right out the window tho I am so tempted to do it. Then hubby had a tidy up and he put away all my stitching and mixed it up and now I can't find anything

Regarding the one with the magazines I might be intrested in the whole magazine and binders. As some of the "older" members of the cafemight remember I hada house fire and lost a lot of my stash - I stil have to go through what was saved and what was not. I think I am missing 1996 for cross stitcher magazine but I have to make sure. Don't hold back waiting for me - I am in such a guddle sorry!
Anyone know of a nice single poppy cross stitch pattern? I know it might not be the time of year for them.

    http://kincavelkrosses.wordpress.com/2011/11/11/in-remembrance/

Here is a free pattern for poppy.

Not much news up here - hubby still looking for a job - tho he is going back for a second interview with one company tomorrow. I am crossing everything. I know it is only part time but anytime is better than no time.

Been watching you all from afar - discovered i can view you from my work computer but working in open plan so can everyone else including the boss!

Keep well all, and hope it is all ok where ever you are.

    Kind wishes

    sweetcarer ;)

SC I am so sorry to hear that you had a fire. I know from personal experience just how traumatic it can be. I'll leave chopping up Cross Stitcher until last then, to give you some time to go through what you have.
Will keep everything crossed for the interview tomorrow - do let us know how it goes - but only if no-one is watching!

I have a free single poppy pattern on my blog. Google "Kincavel Krosses" and then search for "In Remembrance".

    Sorry, I can't post a link because I'm a new member.

    Kell, Kincavel Krosses

ETA I notice someone else has actually linked to it. Thanks, Sweetcarer! :)

Also, after going through some of my bargain old X-stitch magazines, I have seen a range of DMC mini Country Companion kits featuring Ed the Hedgehog. Managed to find one on ebay but no luck in any of the others. Does this ring bells with any of you please.

    Ladies

Following my earlier post the kits were featured in WOCS Issue 131 (2007) and on page 80 as a competition prize. I managed to find two on ebay that sold for a huge price. Does anyone have these charts or even the kits hidden deep in their stash somewhere? I love Country Companions and WTP too.

    Regards
