I am aghast to note that these pens don't always wash out  what a nightmare
I did buy a pen (but have mislaid it) but I did also buy this but haven't used it very much (also mislaid!)
I feel much better after my Friday night sleep. Need to get myself organised then settle down with my stitching :T0 -

I agree about the air erasable pen. I have never had problems with mine leaving marks behind either, though I only use mine to plot a course of stitches in dots.
I have thought in the past about gridding my fabric with the same pen but never got round to it and as you say you would have to keep redoing it every time you stitched but I guess re-gridding a small area everyday is better than having ruined work at the end:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. Oh no thats awful about the marker pens. I hope that I will be able to get it out from my white lightning. I am wondering if it is the same company that everyone is having problems with. We should all write and complain about it as it is ruining everyones work.cross stitch cafe #90 UFO's 6 to finish in 2013, and loads of new kits to boot

I'm out at the moment but will look for the maker when I get in, I can't remember it having a specific time that it needed washing out in, I brought mine from a seller on ebay. Might complain to the maker, also I needed to complain to wilko, I'm so fed up of picking things up in there marked half price only to be charged full price! Ok rant over, will let you ladies know of the make when I get home.13 in 2013 challenge 9/130

I am unsure of the make of mine as I don't have the packaging the pen is in the bin. I have tried a little lemon juice on the stain and it has faded it, but that is going to be a very long and drawn out process and I don't have the time or the patience atm. If I look at the work I want to cry LOL silly fool I am.

That's awful about the marker pens, I didn't realise so many people had problems with them. No wonder you feel like crying Emma, it's horrid to have put so much work in and then have it ruined. I hope you manage to save your piece.
Oh, and after my rant about hubby losing my memory card I've had to eat humble pieI had checked his laptop, and no memory card sticking out, so commenced the search and couldn't find it anywhere and I was getting angry. Then last night hubby checked his laptop, and um, produced my memory card. I didn't realise they could be internally inserted and ejected like a CD would be, so I was looking for it sticking out the side like it is when in my laptop
Whoops!!

what do fellow stitchers think of the new margaret sherry kits ? They were live on her website (and I was about to post a link) but they have now vanished
the release date is 1 Feb though so I guess they will be back soon. :j
I know this isn't cross stitch related but if you are a pay as you go mobile customer, would you mind letting me know what phone you have and what network you are on? I am currently with Virgin mobile and would like to change networks but don't know who to go with - orange/te$co top of the list but can't make up my mind and as my phone is locked to virgin, would have to buy a new phone.... if I do decide to move networks. I know I can probably sort out an unlock code but would prefer to keep the phone as it is as a spare/emergency phone.
I'm not fussed about having access to facebook or e-mail on my phone, I just want a decent camera, radio and the ability to text oh and make the occasional call. I have always gone for nokias in the past.
I'm on Tesco mobile PAYG. Whatever the 'value' tariff is. 8p per min call & 4p texts. Saves me a fortune! I don't use my phone much at all as I have landline free calls to other landline numbers. Mobile is an LG cookie, but I hate it. First touch screen phone I've had & it's not for me. I don't use cameras on mobiles because the lenses are always rubbish, so they don't make good photos. Useful to use if you have an accident though.
Tesco don't pester you too much either. I found some other companies keep sending text messages to you, but Tesco rarely do. And you get points on top ups too.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Emma - have you tried soaking it?
I would put it in a basin of warm water with some washing powder and gently rub the fabric. As a last resort put it in a pillowcase and into the washing machine.
Daft question, but you haven't ironed it at all have you? Because that would 'set' the ink.
I have used eraseable pens for 2 years now, for numerous projects and have no qualms about continuing to do so. I've never had any staining or marks left. However, I don't usually grid the whole fabric, I just mark off every 10 squares rather than doing solid lines.
I also think all my pens have been from sewandso rather than ebay ones, will check the manufacturer.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Hi Louise it was soaked in cold water first as recommended, then when that failed I soaked it in warm soapy water which after a lot of researching on google is a mistake as the chemicals set the stain in.I have tried everything from white vinegar, to nail varnish remover and lemon juice - which is fading it. I'm certain I bought my pen when I bought the lap frame from sew and so - although I could be wrong, but I can't find my pen on their website anymore.

Emma Sorry to rub in in, as you are obviously so disappointed with your Samurai, but I was just wondering where you got a chart/kit from for it?
My dh collects model soldiers, including a samurai set and I'm sure he'd love a xs one.0
