Ooh arent we lucky people getting stitchy gifts and vouchers?

My stitchy present totally blew me away. After giving and receiving presents with my family yesterday, I was already chuffed to bits and feeling quite spoilt (not usual to be honest), when mum brought in an extra gift from dad from the car... A beautiful vintage cantilevered sewing box!!

He bought it at auction in the summer, and as it needed new pins to cantilever he took it to pieces, oiled the wood and put it back together  I don't know if I've ever felt as loved by my parents :o (some of u will know of my mum,s I'll mental health and therefore strained relations in my family).

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. Got my picture back from the framers the other day so thought I would share :-) I'm really pleased with it as I hated the picture when I was doing it!

I've stitched a couple of thank you cards for people over the last couple of days but I'm ready to do a big picture again I think.

My mum got me this for Christmas so might start that this evening

    Hello everyone,

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

I'm afraid I've been missing for quite a few months now, unfortunately life got in the way of stitching! I'm trying to get back into it and thought popping in here would be a very good start.

Still have the purple wizard and the Rene Mac on the go, plus an owl that was in one of the magazines over the summer.

Due to my ever more manic business I've not had time to catch up with the last thread but will start from the beginning of this one now i've got a brew to hand.

I really do hope that everyone is well and not had any nightmares going on.

  • Pm2326, I am with Honey, love the christmas design. The snowmen look very cute :D

HP_Sauce, those fish look really life like, I have never seen a stitching of fish and that looks divine. Where are you planing to hang it? Or is it a gift?

Nearly finished one page of my dragon, sick of the sight of blue thread but all the shades do make it stand out. I am a bit annoyed that I didn't copy the chart though and this is the original  I might pm the seller on ebay to see if she will send me another chart for a few pounds, I am worried this one may get damaged ;)
